One of Nile's goals for the card has always beeen to break the record. I think he thought it would be easy with Adam's almost 2 million followers. (I would too!)It is that which he is tweeting about now. Those of you who say you were there & the BD donation was not mentioned, were you there from the beginning of the program, through the welcome & all the speeches? Or just for the auction and concert, when the balcony people were brought in? I certainly wouldn't blame Nile for the ridiculousness that was Montel! I was "just" a balcony person but I have confirmed that there was no mention of the Adam Lambert birthday donation during the event before they let us in. But it really did not make sense in the context of the event for it to be mentioned. The basic event was... 1. Recognize the Teen Leaders - a very impressive group who deserved recognition. 2. Raise money for the WRFF with an auction. 3. Recognize and entertain the big donors who were seated at the tables. Setting that aside, it was a very odd arrangement having fans in the balcony during a major donor event. *** Montel was awful and not effective. I have attended many, many donor events and I never saw anyone as rude as he was. It was just not appropriate for this audience. *** The birthday card resulted in raising a lot of money, particularly since there was no fan organization behind it and there was only 3 days. |

nonotme, Trespassing is interesting. It starts off-guard, in addition to sipping some tea I guess Adam was about to introduce the song but the band began to play and he had to jump in.
At the end, clip by EowynForAdam you posted shows well the back-up singer's delighted expressions and gestures as well as Adam's exit when he shakes hands with the keyboardist and then also the HeWhoCannot amedet player wants to do the same. Still it cuts short. We get to hear Nile saying 'he is a true gentleman' when Adam walks away.
Nile then plays a snippet of Trespassing which you can hear in full in NightBirdsObsession's video (she misses the exit but is the only one that captured the whole audio til the end). It's like an afterthought where he is still living in the song, a jamming goodbye after which he says 'Adam Lambert, unbelievable guy'.
