Huh, I could swear there was just a second ago a post here asking how Adam's boots could have been flown in, if he was wearing his own. Is this forum swallowing posts right now or did somebody delete their post? Anyhow, the boots that were his own were the platform boots during Beth (KISS - Performance). The boot that was flown in, as far as I know, was the one he wears here: Hi. Actually, Adam didn't wear "the boot that was flown in from Europe" when he was singing CIGC. Adam wore the Doc Martens boots on the finale night, not the last performance night. He wore them during the opening group number -- when the Top 13 sang "So What". They were all dressed in white, except for Adam's boots.  I'll try to find a video, but it looks like most of them have been pulled. ETA: Here is a video of "So What". Not great quality, but you can see the boots. Lambosessed blog has a better quality video (RuTube). I can't seem to quote on mobile but I think Stampsgal is right about the commercial. It was probably the Voice commercial. The girl says "then 1D' so she probably saw the 1D, Drew Brees commercial after the Voice commercial, maybe?

So those club appearances Adam did in NYC..... they seemed a little "planned" to me rather than Adam just happening to go out. Were they one of those paid appearances? Anyone know? My guess is yes! The establishments plastered their FBs with Adam pics! |

Thanks Iridium for educating me on that silver shoe situation. Did not know that.
Wow, I mean, I love Adam, so he can do no wrong, but damn, if he would not have endless immunity with me, I'd say, that this is a tad excessive. Flying a shoe over on a private plane for a group number, when everyone else was just wearing white or some other light grey or something else that would blend in. Could he not spraypaint some old shoe with white paint? I mean spray paint is bad for the environment too, but if you compare it to a roundtrip 8000 miles of a private jet, you could probably justify the spray paint.
Occasionally I can understand those that tell me with regularity that I am nuts to adore this guy. Clearly I am.

BTW, holst, did you get an answer to yr horns in WAFF performance question already - or maybe you saw a video with a glimpse of the instruments? Anyway, HeWhoCannot amedet and tenor sax is the late answer ETA You see, I was reading an old thread when I saw the question and was not sure which sax it was. Later the YTs by Jessica Bennett of some songs played at the end of the concert by Chic were posted - there Nile mentions the players and their instruments. |

I think I remember Adam commenting later about this whole incident in an interview and it was Idol that wanted him to wear those boots and he really just wore what they told him to wear. So I think it was Idol that wanted to fly the boots here. |
