@PapaPeachez living for you Mary. You sound like Nina Simone! Dare to be you and dare to be different. But PLAY BALL. ETA: <<<winky face that won't show up...grrr
@adamlambert Nina Simone is God so thanks for the highest compliment ever. Contact me if you want to duet on my album it's gonna kick ass.
hmmmmmm.... well.... IDK..... but for me it looks like he's not so very humble... :-S Good for him being confident. I think all artists believe their album will kick ass, otherwise why bother?

Yes I doubt any would bother if they didn't have confidence, some can't deliver though, it's a fine line That being said more power to him, I personally can't carry a tune in a bucket so I really don't get a say.

And the "Peaches" guy? Just no.
Hmmm Adam if you were a judge this year would you be saying the same things?
Durbs rides again. :

Eber doesn't always understand Adam's tweets either:
Miles Tougeaux @milestougeaux @adamlambert what exactly is a "grip of 'mo's'?

Adam's choices on AI contestants often surprise me at first. But if you think about ones he has complimented (Fantasia, Crystal Bowersox, Hailey Reinhart, Casey Abrahams, Jessica Sanchez, Jacob Lusk,...who am I forgetting?) they all have one thing in common: they sing big. And by big I don't necessarily mean big as in powerful, but big as in bold, confidently, holding nothing back, daring to be different, erroring on the side of too many riffs vs too few. Obviously that isn't enough, and he requires definite vocal skills (think James Durban, who was the only interesting contestant but lacked skills thus wasn't faved by Adam) and I trust him to know more about that than me.
From his audition I think Papa Peaches resembles Adam but in a new generation, more immature, less refined and disciplined way. But the boy was brave, proud, unique, had his own direction, and glowed lightness. At least that's what I saw. I think Randy may have been right on this one. Maybe more time would have helped but I am hoping his singing blows people away enough to keep him around long enough that his flamboyancy gets comfortable, even endearing, for a lot of people.
And I love that Adam's tweet to him gave him advice.

ITA! but somehow, the back of my cynical mind keeps telling me that the "androgynous elf" situation was the top draw... and I hope the "PLAY BALL" advice does not fall on deaf albeit elfie ears.

And I love that Adam's tweet to him gave him advice. Since I don't watch Idol anymore & thus don't visit Idol-related sites, I'm not sure of this information. But what I've gathered from tweets is that he's gone. He didn't make top 40. Maybe next year - if Idol's still around. Haha nica - I agree with this! "but somehow, the back of my cynical mind keeps telling me that the "androgynous elf" situation was the top draw..."
