Yup, even the not so good British artists are played over the good US artists. :( not to mention Canadian invasion... Seriously you guys...this is an international forum and there is no country on earth that has pushed their cultural hegemony on the rest of the world as the US has.....it is really disingenuous to be so insulting.

Uh and I don't like that song at all but Janelle Monae so I will forgive them I'm not getting the reference. Their music reminds me of dixieland. Not sure why! And so does Mumford and Sons. I don't like "We Are Young" but I like Janelle Monae who provide guest vocals on that song

I still watch Idol and I'm watching the Grammy's because I love music! It's as simple as that. I am proud that Adam received a Grammy nomination. He will always be grammy nominated AFL!!!!!!!!!!! Until of course he wins one. As far as being an Idol judge, I really wanted it for him if for no other reason than to just see him every week and he would have been seen by millions and fabulous! No need for people to be harsh! I agree. Am a Glambert and want to see our guy happy and successful, but I enjoy watching many groups and artists. It doesn't make me less of an AFL fan. Am enjoying the Grammies as I post (Truth be told, Adam could outsing most of them) and next week I'll be watching AI and complaining about what a mess it has become. Hey, even Adam is watching these 2 shows.

I thought Ed Sheeran was great -- and his voice and Elton's worked so well together. To each their own. I find him a snooze fest. Not into WGWG. Don't we have enough in the US that they have to be imported from the UK. The British invasion has really screwed many a US artist. But wait a min. It works both ways. Isn't our favorite artist invading Europe and Asia? Thank goodness he is because the US is not giving him the support he needs to succeed. I thought Ed Sheeran was good.

Why does nationality even matter, it's all just music.

Why does nationality even matter, it's all just music. It doesn't matter speaking as an American woman, raised in Canada with two canadian children, a British husband, French mother and Middle Eastern father, Scotish and French Canadian grandparents. Beyond that, who knows. Hows that for breaking down boarders!!! ETA: forgot my middle eastern grandfather. My family's like the UN only we get along!
