2.10.13 Grammy night, Adam at FNF Pre-Grammy Party

Loved the Grammys this year! For the first time in maybe, forever, everyone I picked for the big awards won.

And with the exception of Frank Ocean (who has sounded better, although he is never great live)I thought all the performances were pretty amazing.

I thought there were some excellent performances tonight but the two of the most hyped performances were misses --- Taylor Swift and Frank Ocean. And a few of the production choices were just odd -- like Carrie Underwood sounded great but her projector dress was a big ? for me. And as bad a I thought Frank Ocean vocal performance was, the production idea was a WTF for me.

My real standouts were the unlikely combo of Jack White and the Lumineers; "The Weight" by Elton John, T Bone Burnett, the Zac Brown Band, Mavis Staples, Mumford & Sons and Brittany Howard of the Alabama Shakes; Miguel and Wiz Khalifa duet; and "Lonely Boy" by The Black Keys, Dr. John, Preservation Hall Jazz Band. Plus, I thought Rihanna was great.

Lots of other good and entertaining performances -- and very overall a pretty entertaining Grammys.

But I think Adam's Keek snippet was better than the whole show.

Not many surprises on the awards except I am pleased/surprised that many I wanted to win, won.
