I don't know..I read it...just got the feeling he was a brooding artist with a sense of entitlement. He doesn't sound very gracious at all. But that is my interpretation. Given the state of the music maybe this is the modus operandi that the artists must pursue to become successful.

Given the state of the music maybe this is the modus operandi that the artists must pursue to become successful. Barry Weiss , now at Def/Jam records, gave Frank Ocean the record advance he needed..Adam needs Barry Weiss back in his life.. he was the head of RCA ,when Adam made his first album.. Weiss got Adam radio play,he GOT Adam period . So sorry he left RCA and Adam. That's what I took from the NYT 's article....Adam all day all night for me. I don't doubt that Frank Ocean is talented.. but Adam is talented ,charming , available emotionally and honest about who he is. I read somewhere that Ocean is not that interested in creating much more music,I really hope Frank goes off and writes that book he said he wants to write..LOL

Oh, I love the strut, I hope it is also in a set list of Helsinki. And I pray, that one day, Adam would also perform runnin' ! FYI: I recently talked to my "go-to" expert on Adam vocals, Angelina. I told her of the theory several peeps have put forth of Runnin being too difficult to sing live because of the range from very low to very high. She scoffed at the idea and said that of course he could sing it live if he wanted to. So, I guess he just doesn't think it "fits" with the other music. Or something.
