I was feeling a bit melancholy today because I was thinking about my assistant at work who lost her battle with breast cancer this past August. Seeing the Rock My Town videos tonight (still my favorite Adam performance) reminded me of happier times and it reminded me of the day I learned I won a ticket to that concert. She was so excited for me. I asked her to come with me but she had family plans and couldn't come. I invited her to come with me to the GNT concert in Staten Island and then I learned I won a meet & greet through Donors Choose before the concert. Again, she was so excited for me. She took the video of my meeting with Adam. The reason I'm telling you this is because I just wanted to share her reaction when he came into the restaurant. It brought a huge smile to my face. BTW, she loved the concert and screamed wildly and danced her ass off. I miss her. aww, such a beautiful story, jesslala... Thanks for this. |

Kay I'm late, but I just wanted you to know that I loved your post, so please keep thinking away.  Jesslala Sorry about your friend, but I'm glad you have such great memories of her, even Adam memories, some of the best kind. I think Martel is really good, but, in my opinion, he has nowhere near the stage presence and energy and charisma that Adam has. That is (partly) what must make it so fun to perform with Adam. He can be a front man and carry his own weight when it comes to getting that response from the audience and can interact with other band members in a way that gives them energy and gets things going. He is generous in sharing the stage, but he can step up and own it when he needs to. People have fun performing with him. And that is big. He also has the ability to be spontaneous and make things fresh each night and he is not afraid to do that. I love seeing Adam sing live so much! I'm excited for all of you who are going to be attending the mini tour concerts. I hope you get some new things and that some of you, anyway, video them for the rest of us.

4Msrmyn... thank you for posting all those Rock My Town vids!!!  I hadn't watched them for a long time, and they're sooooo good!!! YW. I'm just pleased that YT makes an alphabetical search possible, now. For awhile there, I couldn't find anything. Now, I need to figure how to work the new Photobucket. Why does everything have to be so hard??  :-/  |
