just tried going over to the old ATop and got the "Forbidden" message right off the get go >:(. I'm so glad we have a nice stable home that isn't going to poof all the time.
I'm also glad I pulled over all the news links. Hopefully I'll have a chance to go over and go through my PM's one of these days.

I have not had time to catch up completely. But I gather that Adam only attended one party last night – Semi Precious Weapons EMPIRE. Sunday, 13th February, Semi Precious Weapons will present their very own party in Los Angeles! EMPIRE, a rock ‘n’ roll installation party will take place at On The Rox in West Hollywood, Los Angeles after the Grammy Awards. It is the second award biggest party event in LA, only topped by the Academy Awards. But the Grammy parties are more fun for the most part. JMHO. There is an official Grammy After Party. Anyone who can get an invite to a “real” party skips this but the food is usually excellent. Official 53rd Grammy Awards After-Party Where: Los Angeles Convention Center Description: With more amazing performances, gourmet dishes by Wolfgang Puck. The major labels have parties....these are boring, usually filled with “suits”, PR and media. These are the big ones: EMI at Milk Studios: EMI hosted its Grammy After-Party at Milk Studios, with a guest list that included Natasha Bedingfield, Dave Navarro, Nikki Six, and Tara Reid. Warner Music Group at Soho House: Attendees like Seal, Jason Derulo, Neil Young, Estelle, and Malin Akerman. Sony at the Beverly Hills Hotel honoring the labels nominees. No list released. Universal had at least two after parties – one general party and the Universal Latin party. Many of the smaller labels also have parties. There are dozens of Grammy after parties that the same people or groups host every year. One of the most famous is the Bob Sinclar after party – this year at the Ecco Ultra Lounge. Although it is well known, I know little about this party. IMO this year’s coolest party was the one Adam attended…..it was not “exclusive” or restricted to “A List” people but it was THE party for people under 40 pop-rock genres. For those new members who may not understand what my grumbling was about, here's an example using one of the gorgeous pics that was just posted in this thread by gelly. The properly proportioned pic, as posted by gelly, would look like this as an avi (the actual dimensions are 67x100):  If the avi dimensions for this pic are set to 100 x 100, it will look like this:  If you really want a square avi, then the pic should be cropped to a square to look like this:  I'd be more than happy to help anyone with calculating dimensions, or cropping a pic, or 'shopping to get rid of backgrounds., etc. Just PM me and we can work it out "behind the scenes."  |
