Personally I don't care how Adam gets positive publicity.. I'm thrilled with all the great press. How many times has the press been less than generous to Adam. I'm loving all this attention for Adam's beautiful 'Stay' I don't care either but the press seems to be very impressed at how great he is at covering this song -- he's great at singing, period. What I was trying to say was why is this particular event causing the press? Is it because everyone has heard Rihanna sing it and now have someone to compare his singing against?? Why has this stirred the presses? I'm estatic that it has, just don't understand it. I get your point...I just think there are some covers that people just take to and when Adam sings them better than the originals.. It's news.. I guess It's a bit of a comparison,although it shouldn't be.I think you're saying ,correct me if I'm wrong,why aren't they carrying on about Adam's singing period .. But Ya know the press and many blogs do carry on about Adam's voice and his music.It's just the corporate suits at radio who are holding out.I think Adam is world famous because of his incredible voice.  I was just thinking of Adam's Pink song WWFM and Pink singing her own cover of an Adam hit. Kind of funny. |

I seem to remember that when Adam first covered Is This Love there was a lot of media reporting on it as well. I agree with the poster who said Adam singing Adam music is not news. It is expected. Adam covering other songs, and blowing them out of the water? Priceless.

It's everywhere now! I came across this on weibo (Chinese twitter), the owner of the account is a popular music blogger with 476,000 followers. Of course, he posted Adam's Seoul performance of "Stay", and it has already been retweeted 3699 times and the comments (hundreds of them) from casual fans (the ones without Adam Face...lol) made me break into a wide grin every time now my jaw hurts.  Oh, sounds like he'll be attending the Shanghai concert, too.
maddie, if you have time later, can you post/translate a few of the comments from the casual fans?  |
