FYE was VERY big in the area of the world he is in now. I like the new version. It's different, but i like it! That's what I assumed was the reason for including the whole FYE...This IS a "strange" version, too slow IMO, although I do like the shift into the lower register... Did anyone download the full concert posted a few pages ago? If yes - how was the quality? tx I liked it. I only played it on the computer though. Listened to it while i was painting

I've been not able to 'get it' so far... but the Tokyo one is better than the Seoul one Best FYE live performance IMO is still the iheartradio version. hard to beat that one as far as energies, vocals and high notes are concerned

Thanks Tinafea I downloaded Norbik's too. It's in tracks, which is nice. I didn't total up the minutes and haven't gotten around to making a CD yet. Scorpiobert's is the whole thing straight thru in one file. Thought I'd compare the sound.

Dancey Haven't had time to listen yet, so don't know if one's better than the other. I think they may have come from the same source
Adamrocks I noticed it said MP4, but when you download it it reads as a MP3. It's all one file, straight thru. Maybe Danceygeorgia could explain how MP3s and 4s work. All I know is I think M4a files sound best to me on a CD.....but I don't understand how it all works.

(rubbing my ears) Just out of curiosity, which sequence are you referring to cassie? I'm trying to catch what you're hearing, but it seems my ears and I are having trouble focusing today... ETA: DUH! Imeant FYE, not TP. Sorry! I think I probably need glampoon to demonstrate the original chords and the changed ones, as it is beyond my ability to use words to explain. I just wrote two paragraphs of gibberish trying to. But, on the lyrics of the live version from Japan and Korea, he sings "So hot out the box can we pick up the PACE, TURN IT UP heat it up, I need to be entertained. Push the limit, are you with it, don't be AFRAID, DON'T TRIP off the glitz...." Etc. that chord/bass pattern continues thru the song. On the capitalized words, the chord is an Ab minor with an Ab in the bass. On a casual listen without referring to my keyboard, the studio version has a Bb minor chord there with an Eb in the bass. Just sounds very different to me. But I think that at least one of the remixes used those harmonies. GLAMPOON, where are you when I need you? How's it going?? The studio version is basically just E ♭m > G♭ > B♭m with some different inversions here and there iirc. From what I can hear they are adding some A♭m chords in this new version, doesn't sound too bad to me though, and I like the half time feel. I just don't like the bridge without high notes. I mean maybe to Adam a lot of that stuff was just "showing off" in retrospect but to me it brought some of the songs so much intensity and climax. In FYE's case I thought the gymnastics fit the lyrics too.
