Energy is playing Stay (by Adam) now! I'll switch to Liam soon. Seems they copy Liam, he is playing Stay now as well ... Ha ha! It's me - I've been switching between the two of them and was actually on The Flea! I'm sticking with Liam for now. That'll teach me to multi-task. It's Linda's Adam's fault - that new pic has got me flustered.

maddie, my interpretation of "given the audience" in the context has to do with the perception of gamers in general, and not related to specifically Chinese gamers, i.e. generally young people loving the excitement and the competition of a fast moving, rich in imagery fantasy, and less interested in the details of how the endorsement was acted out as far as Oscar worthiness is concerned. Ahhh, the perception of gamers --- "The stereotypical online gamer is a socially inept, reclusive, male, with an obsession for gaming." (http://www.digra.org/dl/db/12168.23066.pdf) and, the mega popularity of The Big Bang Theory (one of a few shows I watch on TV) only reinforces that impression, lol! In actuality, gamers come in all ages and both genders, as a matter of fact, we even have a few here on Atop! That tweet @alidol sent out with a pic of Adam's promo vid being seen on TV at a KTV, the original poster also had this message on her/his weibo under that pic: " the security guy freaked out, 'cuz a big crowd had started to form around the TV...haha!". I would say that little promo vid is doing its job, and Adam is worth every penny they paid him! OH, CAN'T WAIT FOR TOMORROW....I WOULD IMAGINE LAST NIGHT HAS INDEED BEEN SLEEPLESS IN SHANGHAI!

Ditto those words of thanks for the looooong translation! Quite cute that Katri now chose to tell Sauli how much she disliked his grey long hair!!!
And ...what does he really think of his smoking...he was not forthcoming with a resounding "yes"....that is telling.

More than 50% sure that Forbes does not include foreign money in their yearly earning summaries! I am thinking though, that the money for Adam's RIFT will leak out somehow, just like Dwayne Wade's did!

Maybe it doesn't matter what it sounds like in English as they'll voice over in Chinese? I thought the whole script sounded pretty silly but consider the audience. Maybe it's all supposed to be a joke in the first place. I don't think the promoters would have used it if it wasn't exactly what they wanted. A quick drive-by post before heading to the studio.... There is no voice-over in Chinese commercials starred by foreign celebrities, especially when they speak English (English is a standard curriculum in China from first grade on), although, sometimes there're subtitles. In this case, it's all Adam and other two's original talking voices, from the reports on weibo of those who have already seen the TV commercial. Not sure what you exactly meant by the "silly script and considered audience" comment, I'm guessing you didn't mean to insinuate anything to do with the intelligence of the Chinese gamers or the gaming company's marketing strategy. This mega lucrative business in China is no joke, I can assure you. It's a commercial, not an Adam Lambert photo shoot or MV production, he got paid a ton of money to follow instructions and read a script, not to mention the future potential involvement with the company if RIFT does become a WOW in China. Yeh, silly script and considered audience was an intentional slam on any and all gamers and the gaming industry........come on! I spent years in Bangkok and Hong Kong and know that in the years that I was there commercials and such were made with an outrageous sense of humor. I thought Adam was funny and I thought his actions may have been intentional for all kinds of reasons but none of my comments in any way shape or form were meant to be a slight in any way. I game, my friends game, game on!

I thought he had made most his money on those Asian gigs. I don't follow him so not sure what time frame he was on his mission and when the period Forbes recorded the earnings.
