I didn't want to comment on the video yesterday. Didn't want to be a downer. But, that is SO NOT Adam's style or quality. The script doesn't make much sense in English to start with, but, Adam obviously didn't have any time or power to edit, change, rehearse, review video, etc. Adam hasn't tweeted that video out, right? Something tells me he would be embarrassed/frustrated about it. But, if it pays for the condo rent for the next couple of years, he probably will shrug his shoulders and let it go without further thought.

Is it just me , or it looks like Adam is the most photoshopped one ?? I too think so! Original / unprocessed image is much better. Makeup in that picture disturbs me. B-|

Okay ...viewed Dwayne Wade's vid and his eyes were great. I thought he did just fine. (no clue about his Chinese speaking ability.) He spoke less than Adam but his video looked more natural to me. Oh well what's done is done.
Just send the paycheck to Adam. And thank you!!!

Maybe it doesn't matter what it sounds like in English as they'll voice over in Chinese? I thought the whole script sounded pretty silly but consider the audience. Maybe it's all supposed to be a joke in the first place. I don't think the promoters would have used it if it wasn't exactly what they wanted.

A gaming blog reported that Dwayne Wade got a "8 figure deal" -- if that is true, it does not mean that he got paid $10 million +, it means the deal value is worth $10 million + and could include some bonuses or additional payments based on sales in China. ** Here is a link to Maggie Q -- her reading of the script is a bit better than Adam but she clearly has never played the game. www.mmoculture.com/2013/02/rift-china-maggie-q-wants-to-be-taught-how-to-play-the-game/

The only thing that matters is the game success with the gaming community, I seriously doubt they care about apparent reading off the prompter... Can someone please help me and explain where you see Adam's video here - when I go there only Dewayne's plays : rift.sdo.com/web4/index/index.asp#

Last night I had an Atop dream.....I was shopping in a grocery store at a gas station when I was taken hostage with about 30 other people. We were all shocked when the hostage-takers let us keep our phones. We started texting for help, but soon realized that our texts weren't sending. I checked and found I could get on the internet. I don't do twitter and I always have a hard time getting on Facebook from my phone so I thought, ATOP!!! I logged in and was trying to post a CALL THE COPS FOR US post, but autocorrect kept changing the words and I was trying to type without being obvious. I was so afraid that you all would think I was a spammer as I sounded drunk and I don't post very often. I was thinking, "I should tell them what my last post was so they know it's really me." But, I couldn't think of my last post! Then I planned to tell you, "I've met Momtomany! It was in San Francisco!" I knew that would prove it! Then I woke up.

It is the world's biggest MMO game market. I have limited knowledge of the Chinese gaming market so I will not make any judgments about effectiveness of this campaign. But RIFT became a mega-hit game because it is great fun, it is not WOW and because of somewhat unusual online advertising -- like this RIFT old spice guy spot -- www.youtube.com/watch?v=0oFk-NO9F9IShanda is the most successful gaming company in China, so I expect they have some grand plan for all of this.
