TFM was a hit BUT the film "2012" was a megahit in Asia, which resulted in TFM getting signification radio airplay, TV coverage and theater play -- plus online play.
>>> As far as I can tell TFM only charted in two countries - the US and Canada because it was only officially released as a single in North America.
"2012" grossed $770 million worldwide -- over $600 million was outside the US -- According to Wiki, it is the 41st grossing movie of all time and the 19th grossing movie of all time outside of the US.
One thing on my Adam bucket list is to here this song live.

Here's the official Columbia Pictures press release from 2009 announcing the song's premiere:
Adam Lambert, the American Idol star, performs "Time for Miracles," the theme song from Columbia Pictures' 2012, the new action film from Roland Emmerich. Viewers can catch a tease of the song at AOL Moviefone, where a music teaser with footage from the film and Lambert recording the song premieres today.
2012 will be released in theaters nationwide on November 13, 2009.
Lambert said, "'Time for Miracles' is a great song and perfectly fits the themes of the movie. I was thrilled to record this song for 2012 and I'm glad I had the chance to help create a unique sound for this movie."
The song was produced by Rob Cavallo, mixed by Chris Lord-Alge, and written by Natasha Shneider and Alain Johannes Moschulski. It will be included on the 2012 soundtrack distributed by RCA Records, due in stores November 10.
Never before has a date in history been so significant to so many cultures, so many religions, scientists, and governments. 2012 is an epic adventure about a global cataclysm that brings an end to the world and tells of the heroic struggle of the survivors. The film is directed by Roland Emmerich and written by Roland Emmerich & Harald Kloser. Producers are Harald Kloser, Mark Gordon, and Larry Franco.
Adam Lambert is currently recording his first album on 19 Recordings/RCA Records for a November 2009 release.
