Oh boy, I JUST got home from the concert and I'm still buzzing! No video from me, and I have no idea if there are useable pictures, since my hubby volunteered to take pictures using our crappy little camera... but ended yelling and bouncing around with the rest of us.
Did a quick skim over the thread - and sorry to burst that bubble, but I don't think the place was sold out. Probably 70-80% filled. But from what I could see, everyone was on their feet. (Hey, I couldn't see the 1st row! :D ) It was also quite a mix of people - male, female, young, old, dressed up, casual clothes - a real hodgepodge.
I don't think I can give a coherent blow-by-blow account of the experience... it all went by SO fast! To quote my hubby : "There's a 2nd half right?" (he checks his watch) "Oh. Already?" There was so much energy around - both from Adam and the audience, which is probably what sucked my hubby in despite himself, heh heh. Adam's presence was so... magnetic. I mean, it was always his voice that caught my attention, so how he sounded live wasn't a surprise, I did expect him to sound that good... but I confess, after the 1st viewing, I've usually listened to the posted vids while doing something else. Because with limited time, watching them again didn't seem worthwhile. But LIVE...... the rest of the crew barely registered with me until he went off for his outfit change. He's just so much more of everything when he's live on the stage in front of you - more exuberant, happier, slinkier (if there's such a word), more ridiculous, more sincere - everything!
NOW I see why he gets so many repeat concert-goers. Wow. Just wow. I'm going to wait for the generous souls to upload the vids so that I can relive everything... and I now REALLY appreciate just how much they are giving up having to focus on recording instead of just experiencing.
I guess it's no surprise that any anger I had earlier in the day about newspaper reports and stuff has completely dissipated. Adam did address it not-so-obliquely during the concert - the tweets on page 13 of the thread - but he didn't convey any frustration about it. He just made us feel happy and together. Well, and ridiculous, since fashion is something that is not part of my family's world at all, but we felt happy to laugh at ourselves rather than feeling left out. Oh, and he also mentioned how music, good music would bring people together too - and I'd never seen my hubby laugh and yell so enthusiastically. Ah.... how long will this mood last, I wonder?
Also want to thank is500 - she knew my seat number and came by to say hi! Chatted a bit, it was nice to know someone there. I'll see her again the next time! :D
Gotta go see whether there are any good pics on the camera. Mmmmm.....
