I just have to SHOUT OUT! - with a message of thankfulness and happiness for everyone at ATOP - what a day it has been!
The Singapore concert is spectacular!! Adam is soooo right there; artistically, musically, vocally!
He poured every bit of himself onto that stage, and was lapped up by the fabulous fandom!
I can't thank our Adamtopians enough - from Seoul, Japan, Singapore, Shanghai, and beyond! You've all made us feel, from half a world away, as if we are a part of this amazing Glamily tour.
When I heard about Miami, today, I immediately thought about all of you Floridians who might be making plans! A special hopeful wish from my heart was sent to Irish . . . and now I hear that she, and so many Topians will be at the 4/14 performance!
In the past couple of years, I've been so privileged to see Adam here, in California, and abroad. Now it's my turn to stoke the fires at home, and receive the gifts of pictures and recaps from you. I'm realizing how meaningful these posts are - - to those of us who can't be there in person - - as we vicariously experience the out-of-body, fleeting, life-affirming, joy-beyond-joy moment-in-time that is an Adam performance.
On another note, (and as I type I wonder if I should just shut up, because we've already hashed this out) I have a comment about the exquisite, new tattoo.
My research online took me to another analogy of the upside-down triangle - beyond the water symbolism.
I found this - The upside down triangle "emblem was used during WWII by the Nazis to identify homosexuals in the concentration camps. This symbol was reclaimed by the gay community in the 1970s for use in the struggle for gay rights."
"I promote freedom of equality with every breath I take."
"My main objective is to be honest."
Yes. This specimen that defies nature (LVCVS NATVRAE) is standing here with no apologies. His world of truth cannot be hidden.
I'm learning from the man, who allows ideas and images I never thought would climb out of my head, find light and a voice in the stark, naked truth of me.
When I see Adam, I see freedom.
In movement, in song, in art, I'm discovering freedom; the brazenness of confidence and honesty. The face looking back in the mirror has longed for this, for too many years.
