That would be Pat's King of Steaks! The originator of the cheesesteak. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pat_Olivieri Vs. Geno's They are located across the street from each other on 9th and Passyunk in South Philadelphia. The most famous cheesesteak rivalry in the world. My son used to live a block away from Geno's and Pat's (they are across the street from each other)....both are open 24/7 and the lines usually stretch around the block....oh, and the only cool way to order a Philly Cheesesteak is "Wiz Wit" (cheese whiz with onions)  Can not imagine Adam eating one of those things....haha! Ha, been years since I was in Philly and must have blocked the (disgusting to me) Cheese Whiz factor from my consciousness. My theory is that you can't have enough onions, tho, so I'm all for that part, but the "Wiz" part, not do much. |
