I think the only way Kradam would fit in is if the research covered 2009, during American Idol Season 8. For the 1 person that doesn't know, Kradam was Kris Allen, for the Kr part, and Adam. Kris, Adam, the fans, and the media called them Kradam. Most everyone seemed to be in favor of those two being the Top 2 that season. I don't think I've seen seen regular use of the term Kradam since early 2010. ETA
I think the creepy stuff, in the MysteriosoMan tweet, refers to Kradam fanfic. There was an enormous amount of that, but I wouldn't think that is what the researchers are referencing.
