What a shame about the Russian government deciding to scapegoat a group once again. I was so hopeful at one time that they were becoming more democratic and freedom loving. My family is Russian and the people there for the most part are wonderful...
To Add, Adam is such a brave man to Trespass time and time again and with such class and good will...I so admire him not only as an incredible singer/performer but as a remarkable human being.

Hard to parse the language without a proper translation -- and this is not a good translation. I believe "high heels" is a mistranslation -- as is " And in four days, went to the sound check." I do not have any problem with the Russian press comparing the import of Adam's concert to Lady Gaga and Madonna. Let me help out here. There is a Google translator problem with some expressions: "In four days" was actually - he went to the sound check at 4 pm they DID say he wore high heels - that whole potion was translated accurately. The Madonna and Gaga paragraph was translated accurately as well. The paragraph re meeting with fans was sort of accurate except Adam "warned the reporters to even not look at him so as to not to embarrass the" - all total nonsense... The "scandalous behavior" is all there... With these automated Google translation often something gets lost in the translation. In this case, as you say 4 days is clearly an error, and I believe that "high heels" means that his heels were high, rather than the American interpretation of this phrase as high heeled pumps. And some parts or the translation border on the unintelligible: " Luck smiled to see his idol, several girls, who won the competition announced by Lambert. However, during his communication with fans of Adam forbade reporters take pictures. More, managers star warned reporters that they did not even look at the Lambert to, say, do not confuse the star."** I did not question the Gaga translation about Gaga, I wrote, "I do not have any problem with the Russian press comparing the import of Adam's concert to Lady Gaga and Madonna." And I do not. He is a global pop star and one of the most prominent gay performers in the world. If he chose to go to Russia and speak out on injustice and homophobic legislation, he could create an international incident. This is the quote from the article (Google translation) referring to Lady Gaga: " Contrary to the fears of many champions of morality, which is openly gay Lambert concert will speak on "The oppression of sexual minorities", like Lady Gaga or Madonna, no provocations happened. Having played the hour and a half concert, singer modestly withdrew from the scene and soon left for the hotel." Seems accurate to me. Both Lady Gaga and Madonna used their recent Russian concerts to engage in political comment in favor of gay rights. There were some "champions of morality" who were afraid Adam would use his concert as a political platform. He did not. IMO he made a wise choice.

His voice is so sweet and gentle on TFM! I get teary eyed everytime I hear that song. I still think about the song writers! Me too. From the news report that smokey quoted, I wanted to say that when your actual presence is a comment on oppression, there is no need to make a verbal statement. This is why we need Adam everywhere.I love this wisdom. I agree with this. It is the only path that makes sense to have a positive effect, but only could be taken if someone is wise enough to see it.[/quote]

Nica, gotta agree with you. What four days ar they talking about? The high heels, his medges...Adam walks better in them and performs well in them...what are they talking about. Why bring up Gaga, etc? Adam didn't stay because he has another concert he must reach. Russian press want to make him look terrible. FUCKERS!!!!!!!!!! Hard to parse the language without a proper translation -- and this is not a good translation. I believe "high heels" is a mistranslation -- as is " And in four days, went to the sound check." "And in four days, went to the sound check." means "at 4 in the afternoon". The Russian expression used was "at 4 of the day", which means p.m. as opposed to "4 at night".
Edit: I see I was late and this was already explained

I agree. if Adam spoke out it would not only put the spot light on him and cause an incident,IMHO it would also make the people who want to go to his concerts suspect ,When a government suppresses freedom..it can be all invasive.

His voice is so sweet and gentle on TFM! I get teary eyed everytime I hear that song. I still think about the song writers! It is! I still think about my grandson, born with Triad's syndrome, who needed a miracle at that time just to get here. I used to listen to that song and it inspired hope. Three years later, this little guy, born during the magical FS concert, still amazes his doctors and family every day and is pure magic in our lives. I will always connect the song with him.
