It is really sad to think about Adam receiving this message from the state department. Even if it was nothing big expected it would weigh on his mind to be told that something could potentially harm his performers or his fans.
I was SO proud of him sitting in the middle of this and singing OOL. Now I am even more so.

Lovely. Here's the first few paragraphs if you don't feel like clicking: Security Message for U.S. Citizens: St. Petersburg (Russia), Adam Lambert Concert (March 20)
Threats Europe > Russia > St. Petersburg 3/19/2013 This is to alert U.S. citizens in Russia who are planning to attend the Adam Lambert concert in St. Petersburg on Wednesday, March 20, that the U.S. Consulate General in St. Petersburg has received information regarding a threat of physical violence against spectators and performers at the concert. The U.S. Consulate General in St. Petersburg has shared the information with appropriate Russian law enforcement authorities. While we expect that appropriate security measures will be in place at the concert, U.S. citizens are reminded to remain vigilant regarding their personal security, and to be aware of their surroundings at all times, especially in crowded areas.
We strongly recommend that U.S. citizens traveling to or residing in Russia enroll in the Department of State's Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) at step.state.gov/step. STEP enrollment gives you the latest security updates, and makes it easier for the U.S. embassy or nearest U.S. consulate to contact you in an emergency. If you don't have Internet access, enroll directly with the nearest U.S. embassy or consulate.
Wonder who sent the information about "a threat of physical violence against spectators and performers"? Gah. B-|
Just out of curiosity.... A lot of you are parents, or have been parents of teens. Would you, as a parent, allow your teenage son/daughter to attend an event with such a warning attached to it? :-/

Ok, concerning ticket price, I can tell from my experience and my friends, but - an average income/fee/wage, don't know how describe it better, for us is some kind of a myth. For once it depends on the type of job you do, your education, the potential of the company you're working for, etc, etc, etc. On the other side it depends on how much you have to spend on your everyday living, how many people in your family, etc. For example, as a single mom now I have to work two-three jobs to afford not only every day living, but out of school activity for my kid and such, and still I don't have enough income to save for future. For me fan-zone tickets were a bit of a stretch, it costed me as much as my monthly communal fee. For school kids it might be as pricey (but it depends on their parents income). And for out-of-city fans the price is even higher, because they have to pay for train/plane/bus tickets to get there and so on. So it's very difficult to say that the tickets are over-priced or not. Actually, from my point of view most of the tickets are overpriced now, but it's only because of my situation. I think the same stays for Ukraine and Belarus.

It did feel rushed and short. I had the same feeling at GNT in OKC -- Adam ran through the show as if the sheriff was about to raid the place. He is in great voice. [irony] Junie's off-the-cuff comment during the show potentially comes off in a whole new light based on the State Department's warning........ #mayhavebeensomthinggoingonafterall [sigh] Well, anyway, its over and Adam will shortly be in Helsinki where he is widely loved and cherished (if he isn't there already). Yay!
