And a totally lmao post from crispy:
Here's another suggestion: He starts to sing Fever to a hot young twink whose back is to the audience - lots of flirting and touching, driving the pearl clutchers insane. Then on the next verse (Let's get inside your car), the twink turns around and it's Gaga in drag. Makes perfect sense since she wrote it and they can't bitch about the There HE goes part if it's really a girl - and of course, Gaga has those rumors going about what's under her leotard, so it tweaks everybody. Then they smash a bunch of whiskey bottles on each other, sell a million records each, and then both lose to Taylor Swift.

And this great "sandwich" post from geezlouise that I kept... (I have it dated Mar. 2011):
My take on the ‘fans’…. new or renewed, or whatever… that have stepped on the rollercoaster because of Adam’s understated look and performance on Idol. ARE YOU SURE YOU ARE TALL ENOUGH TO RIDE THIS RIDE?
There is a chance you are going to get hurt, or fall off, or hurt someone else. You are going to shit your pants and want off. You are going to puke up your vanilla cone and your hot dog. It will be messy. This isn’t a kiddie ride.
Adam isn’t a Club Sandwich. He is the newest creation on the menu. He is the fusion dish that a Club Sandwich eater would never try. He is a Korean BBQ Pulled Pork Taco with Wasabi Aioli. And next week he may be something very different. He is spicy… and you’re going to need a big ass bib and a huge glass of cold water to get it all down. He is an ever changing menu and the biggest and fasted ride you’ve ever been on. All in one man.
Are you ready?

awwww... I just found that wonderful old post by keyboard, written back in April 2011, I think: I wanted to add my two cents. I've been in LA for the last 7 weeks working with lots and lots of people. Pretty much everyone knows Adam now and it is all in a very good way. I no longer wait for the raised eyebrow when I mention his name. There is no more AMA shit, no more AI references unless it is an explanation to an uninitiated cretin. Then it might be "that glam kid from AI" but I never heard it said in a disrespectful way. There is a lot of anticipation about his next album but in a very positive way not in a way where anyone is expecting him to fail or hoping he does. As always it is about the almighty dollar, but Adam's career (and how nice that it is the same with his personal life) seems to be right on track. There appears to be more need for Adam to be in competition with Bieber and B Spears from his fans than from people in the industry. His newly acquired toned down persona makes many feel more comfortable and now when he does glam it up they see it as performance art or a young buck being out on the town not as who he is as a real person. The Grammy nod was huge in this regard. All in all, no matter what happens with #2 and I think it will be great, Adam has a career that will keep growing and improving. With that voice there is no other possibility.
Adam may not NEED the super superstardom that many of his fans need to feel that he has arrived. I could be wrong, but being a star, meeting people he has admired, working with people he considers talented, receiving props for his charity work, getting invited to places he would like to be, and knowing it is his voice that has gotten him here rather than some tricky PR moves engenders a quiet confidence that is a very good look on him.

Posted on April 21/11: American Idol is part of Adam's past, a good part, but has nothing to do with "what comes next." Nothing anyone does on there, including win the title, has anything to do with who Adam is at this moment or what he will do in the future. It is nice when he goes back to perform, but it's nice when he performs on Ellen or Leno, too. I don't understand why people search out trouble or slights. There is so much positive to celebrate that everything else should be left to the non-believers and the naysayers. Heap the enthusiasm on him, keep him in a cocoon of encouragement and love so when he decides to lurk somewhere, he leaves with a smile and a feeling of invincibility. Life's tough enough sometimes, even for a superstar, so give him a haven. Back to LA tomorrow, hope it is sunny and warm for the weekend.

I will add these smilies to the box this weekend. And I believe I can add them to the main smiley section.

But UPBEAT ...it has to be! He has these songs on TP and it didn't help. Much more so than FO for instance... I really hope that someone at RCA will figure out what they need to do for the US radio to take... I know... the long dead horse discussion... Hey I just meant...I like upbeat songs...sorry if my wording skewed the intent of my comment.
