Adam Lambert @adamlambert Happy Easter too!
He tweeted this 2 hrs after the Ishtar tweet. I'm guessing but I think it's because he was bombarded with tweets telling him to wish people Happy Easter because I saw lots of that on his feed. I don't know why people can't accept him for who he is. Why must they project their own feelings/beliefs on him? He tweeted about this in (I believe) 2010 telling fans he was Jewish, not Christian.
For the same reason Jews tell people "Merry Christmas". I dunno. Societal pressure to act polite? IMO, it often feels expected, even if you're mentally eyerolling at times. To me, its kinda like saying "Have a good weekend". Sort of a holiday acknowledgement with generally sincere wish that its a good experience more than anything else. [wry grin] Its like what happened today: there was a group photo shot of all the kids post-hunt with their egg-y loot and parents were telling the kids to say "HAPPY EASTER", and then one of the moms looked at me, gave one of those "erk" smiles and then told all the kids: "Now say HAPPY PASSOVER!!!" Its not like a "Happy Passover smile" was necessary. Or that any of the kids except mine truly comprehend what the heck Passover is. It was just....people doing their best to be fair and friendly in this politically correct era. Maybe other people feel differently. That's just my take.

I actually like a number of songs on the Billboard Hot 100.
1. Thrift Shop - I liked it the first time I heard it 2. Harlem Shuffle - is irresistible dance fun 5. Stay -- is a great song. 6. Just Give Me a Reason -- Pink is one of my fav artists.
But I can pass on the rest. #9 "Love me" Lil Wayne captures everything I dislike about current music in one track -- vocorder vocals, multiple artists who sound like they worked in 3 separate studies, disrespectful of women, laid over a great beat that is addictive. So you end up listening when you do not want to listen.

I just watched a TV advert (I don't often do that; but something caught my ear enough to rewind and pay attention). Lots of colour, tattoos, dancers, a fire streaming guitar.
Vauxhall Motors UK (GM) advertising a new car on prime-time national TV..................
"You are you, unique, amazing, one of a kind. Be yourself; be what you want to be. One car a million possibilities - ADAM!"
Top of the google query list: Express your unique personality with the unique Vauxhall ADAM.
Start with ADAM JAM, ADAM GLAM or ADAM SLAM and customise..............
I wonder how many other British Glamberts have seen this and gone "oooooooooooookaaaay!!"

Although I usually try to use more generic greetings around the holidays.

BB made a big mistake by implementing the new rule I agree. ETA: The new rule is to include YouTube in the Hot 100 -- www.hitfix.com/news/billboard-hot-100-rules-change-to-include-youtube-viewsThursday, Feb 21, 2013 2:26 PM NEW YORK (AP) — Viral videos are hits on the Web, and now they can help propel a song to the top of the Billboard charts. Billboard has announced that U.S. YouTube data is now one of the factors when ranking Hot 100 songs and songs on its other charts. The new rule went into effect this week, with the viral-video hit " Harlem Shake" debuting at No. 1. Other factors include radio airplay, digital download sales, physical single sales, on-demand audio streaming and online radio streaming. Billboard's new rule incorporates all official videos on YouTube, including Vevo.

OHHHHH! That rule.
LOL. I thought you meant BB as in Adam, as opposed to BB as in Billboard. Life is so acronymically confusing sometimes.

Niles tweeted this documentary on his life work, I found it very interesting. Thought since there was discussions on who Adam should work with on album #3 it might be relevant. I had no idea he launched the careers of so many. The documentary ends sometime around 1996 though, would like to hear more about his recent work. www.youtube.com/watch?v=VVmAXWZu_PQ
