Just checking out this week's adds. Jason DeRulo's new song got 85 adds its first day! Wow! He's been gone for awhile too. Simon's new US boy band, from XF, got 10 adds. I guess only Idol has a stigma, huh?! Also, Gone, Gone, Gone still not getting much play on Top 40. It did however make Top 10 on HAC. I thought because of that, it'd get some Top 40 adds this week, but it got none! Jason Derulo's got a string of hits under his belt: Whatcha Say, Ridin' Solo, In My Head, and It Girl, radio's gonna give him tons of love, for sure. How do you like his new song, The Other Side? As for P2's Gone, Gone, Gone, just can't see it going anywhere on Top 40, Home is all he's got and all he needs, for now....

Great article about $ made from singles and albums by the artist and the label. This is a UK article, but I imagine it is the same here. I had always heard $1 per album and $.10 per single. The only thing different is this says .09 cents per single. Touring is where the money is! Makes me wonder how labels stay in business!! t.co/ehthiwWwhx

does anyone have any idea why the twitter growth numbers are at the slowest rate ever? +670 yesterday, only +488 so far today - and it is 10 pm ET already... is there some unfollowing going on? any theories?

Maddie is there any way to find out Adam's latest sales for Trespassing. He's been traveling so much,I just wonder if he's gotten to about 400,000 world wide, including the USA. Also want to thank you sooo much for all that you do.

Jordin seems to be really sweet, multi talented, too, a lot of little girls look up to her. Oh, hon, here is something that might interest you as far as how labels nowadays still manage to make their dough: www.rollingstone.com/music/news/the-new-economics-of-the-music-industry-20111025

Adam has been mostly traveling in Asia, particularly China which is not a major market for music sales at all. I'm afraid RCA would be the only one that has any idea at this point.

P!nk Remains Atop Hot 100, PSY Enters Top 10 P!nk spends a second week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with "Just Give Me a Reason," featuring fun.'s Nate Ruess. PSY, meanwhile, soars 12-5 with "Gentleman," which adds increased streaming and sales to its already record-setting YouTube views totals. "Reason" reigns on Digital Songs for a fourth week with 262,000 downloads sold (down 7%), according to Nielsen SoundScan. It advances, however, 4-3 on Radio Songs, up by 17% to 114 million all-format audience impressions, according to Nielsen BDS. On Streaming Songs, "Reason" backtracks 5-6, although with a 1% increase to 4.7 million streams, according to BDS. While "Reason" is P!nk's fourth Hot 100 No. 1, it's just her second to lead for multiple weeks. 2001's "Lady Marmalade," with Christina Aguilera, Lil' Kim and Mya, dominated for five frames. (2008's "So What" and 2010's "Raise Your Glass" each spent a week at No. 1.) "Gentleman" bounds into the Hot 100's top 10 fueled primarily by a 60% gain in streaming, as it tallies a second week at No. 1 on Streaming Songs with 13.9 million U.S. streams. It had registered 8.6 million streams in the U.S. in just shy of two days since its posting (on April 13) in last week's chart tracking period. (Now up to 216 million YouTube views worldwide [as of this posting], the song set the mark for the most views [18.9 million] for a video in its first day on the site, according to sources at YouTube, as previously reported. The Hot 100, however, counts only U.S. views in its weekly tabulation.) "Gentleman" also debuts at No. 20 on Digital Songs with 72,000 downloads sold, a 167% improvement over its sum last week, which encompassed less than three days following its digital release on April 12. Without official radio promotion, "Gentleman" is receiving only minimal airplay so far. Its 65 plays in the April 15-21 BDS tracking week rank it at the lower end of the 100 most-played mainstream top 40 tracks in that span. ****************** ****************** ****************** For the complete article, go to www.billboard.com/articles/news/1559199/pink-remains-atop-hot-100-psy-enters-top-10

Yeah, I have been wondering too. It seems like less than half of what it used to be just not so long ago. :(
