I sent an email to RL Entertainment, theFinnish organizer, and asked why the screens were not in use at Adam's concert, as usually they are at shows at Hartwall Arena. This is what RLE answered (mytranslation):
Hi,
it was Adam Lambert's production team who decided about the screens andunfortunately we can't take a stance on the decisions made by their productionteam.
So it seems Adam / his management made the decision not to have screens, obviously in order to save oncosts. Maybe someone should tell Adam or someone on his team that it isnecessary to have screens at arenas.
What I also wonder is the fact that the price of the seats at the back sections of the lower level were the same as the price of the seats nearer the stage (expect VIP seats). I guess it was the Finnish organizer who decided how to price the tickets.
Would there be some sort of technical reason why large screens weren't used? Maybe they didn't expect to sell so many tickets, and then when they did they didn't think to change the contract to add the screens.

Would there be some sort of technical reason why large screens weren't used? I think it's a saving money kind of thing. But for large venues, Adam's team really should think about setting up the screens. Tickets were expensive, people in the back deserved to be able to see. Their tickets had the same prizes as those who were in the laterals, where the view of the stage was better. It was one of my first thoughts when I took my place at the concert. I looked up and literally frowned thinking about the poor people who were going to be too far away from the stage, because there were no screens.

I don't see any summaries of dates chosen so I don't know if my mom's birthday is available. She will be 94 on April 25th so I would like to do that date though I know it is probably too soon. I will go with 7 PM EDT or if it Pacific time then 4 PM PDT

Thanks for caring, guys ... I'm very touched. My bad day just seems like a storm now. Tomorrow it must be brighter. For all of us, I hope.
@DrBrianMay chin up!

Ridiculous not to have screens at mid to large venues. I know you have to have camera guys, people to set up, equipment etc. Shoot ...ticket prices ...we pay what is asked. Not sure what the costs would be ---but crowds in the 4-5,000 range could generate 20-25 grand more. Or, Adam just gets less and his fans are happier!

Would there be some sort of technical reason why large screens weren't used? But according to the reply I got it was a decision made by Adam's team, no mention about technical reasons in the reply. If there had been technical issues I would think they would have been noticed on time and taken care of before such a big concert. There are a lot of shows at Hartwall Arena so I would think they can handle things like that. It really seems the decision about the screens was made long before Adam came to Helsinki and it was made in order to save on production costs. I guess it's not cheap to hire the camera personnel. Maybe Adam hasn't realised the importance of screens because he hasn't have many that many really big concerts of his own. Of course I can be wrong with my speculations. Maybe someone going to Adam's meet and greet could ask about this. I am too sleepy to check but if my memory serves me right, there were no screens in South-Africa either altough the venues were quite big. I remember feeling sorry for the people standing far away from the stage.
