The song Little Talks by Of Monsters and Men that Sauli tweeted out the other day sounded very familiar to me at what I thought was my first listen. I liked it. I see it is on Spotify's list of most listened to songs currently. I do not listen to the radio. Is it used in a commercial? So many songs that turn out to be big hits, I hear in ads.. First intro to JT's Suit and Tie was in the freakin Bud ad. It makes sense to sneak the song into the unconscious or associate it with a product. It is the amazing the amount of music we hear without even making the effort-ads, tv shows, background in stores! I hope Adam gets a song into to a commercial even though deep down I think there is something cheap or tacky or less than legit about it. I still get excited when I hear Adam while I am shopping, dining, or enjoying a sporting event! Little talks has been a huge hit here in Germany. As far as I know it hasn't been used in a commercial. Of Monsters and Men is a six-piece indie folk/indie pop band from Iceland, formed in 2010. The members are lead singer/guitarist Nanna Bryndís Hilmarsdóttir, co-singer/guitarist Ragnar "Raggi" Þórhallsson, guitarist Brynjar Leifsson, drummer Arnar Rósenkranz Hilmarsson, keyboard player Árni Guðjónsson and bassist Kristján Páll Kristjánsson.[2][3] The band won the Músíktilraunir in 2010, an annual battle of the bands competition in Iceland.[4] In 2011, Of Monsters and Men released an EP entitled Into the Woods. The band's debut album My Head Is an Animal (2011), peaked at No. 6 on the US Billboard 200 album chart, No. 3 in the UK and also reached other European charts. Its lead single "Little Talks" was an international success, reaching the Top 20 in over five countries and No. 1 on US Alternative Songs. Of Monsters and Men is a winner of the 2013 European Border Breakers Awards. The European Border Breakers Awards honour the best new music acts in Europe. The award ceremony takes place at the Eurosonic Noorderslag music festival in Groningen (NL). Their musical style has been frequently compared to indie groups like Arcade Fire, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, and The Lumineers . |

ALF is not very user friendly -- it's not you. I hate that site. It will not let me move (change my address). Every time I buy something I have to request they send it to where I really live vs. my 2 year old shipping address. URGH!! |
