Relationships can take detours...my son just broke up w his girl of 3 yrs also, sadz but as noted before , things change. hope both will be happy in the future

Hmmmmm, had a gut feeling something was up. But, sounds like work comes first. Not totally a bad thing. It's very hard to be separated months at a time. One can lose focus. I hope they do remain close friends. They have a good history. MY heart feels a little wounded, go figure.
