I don't mean to pile on about the tweet of Adam cancelling the sound check. I appreciate all AToppers for bringing over news and photos, as I never check anywhere but here. This is just a reminder that twitter is the devil, and reading it on the internet doesn't make it true (PH anyone?)

Here are the reasons I do not believe Adam cancelled the sound check due to being too hung over from partying.
1. It looked to me that the club thing last night was probably a paid promo. Something about Adam posing with ALL those people, and Adam's friends not being there. It seemed like an official appearance. Adam doesn't drink while working.
2. We've seen club pics of Adam when he is feeling rather "happy." Drunk Adam is pretty easy to spot from his eyes. None of the pictures looked that way.
3. Adam is a pro. He performs when he is sick, when he is depressed, when he is oppressed, when he is threatened, he is the epitomy of "the show must go on." He has to be so sick he cannot get out of bed to cancel something. I think he would drag himself to a sound check regardless of how mych partying he had done the night before.
4. Adam is HBIC when it comes to sound at his concerts and sound checks. He is meticulous. He doesn't just show up, he sings full out to make sure the settings will be correct for the performance. He goes over and over a song or a phrase until he is satisfied. I think of the recent sound check we heard. I couldn't tell what was "off" with the initial sound, but he kept at it for several minutes until he was satisfied, even though I couldn't tell much of a difference. He could. We also know that one of the few things that he will lose his cool over is bad sound. He is obsessive about sound checks. All this leads me to think that if it was at all possible, he would show up and do a sound check for such an important event... especially if it is outside where acoustics can be so problematic.
5. It seems odd that Adam would even schedule a sound check in the morning, a day before an evening performance. Adam doesn't do mornings if he can help it. Adam's voice is not warmed up in the morning, and he wouldn't sound like he does at the concert. He usually does sound checks in the afternoon.  And a sound check so long before the performance doesn't make a whole lot of sense. So, I question if there was even a sound check with Adam scheduled.
6. Twitter is the devil.
