augenpoesie, The music award alternates being given between the NYC & LA ceremony. Adam was out of town for both! He is being honored in SF. The music award is being given in SF for the first time. Plus, 2 nominees have been at the NYC & LA ceremonies (Jake Shears and Beth Ditto of Gossip) and did not receive it. So, it may be that Adam is not only getting the BIG guest of honor award, but he might also be getting the music award. Can't think of any other reason they would do the award in SF  did anyone check on FO's availability?  you know... the musical gay hero of 2012... |

Can't think of any other reason they would do the award in SF They have not given the Davidson/Valentini Award since 2010 so they may have reconfigured it. But in the past ten years, the D/V Award winners have not gotten another award (That is as far as I checked. There are only 3 earlier winners.) Based on the above logic, it would leave it pretty much down to the three other nominees -- unless they are just tricking us! Adam Frank Ocean Rufus Wainwright Could be it goes to Adam who was nominated but did not win it in 2010 (Lady Gaga won in 2010 and 2012). Rufus Wainwright won in 1999. Or could be that they gave Adam the Davidson/Valentini Award so they could give Frank Ocean the music award. GLAAD has been an active supporter of Adam's and stood up for him in 2009 vs. ABC. GLAAD also has been a major, active supporter of Frank Ocean www.glaad.org/tags/frank-ocean We do not have long to wait but I do not see the scheduling of this award as a sign that Adam will win it -- as he should win it. I am just very happy he is getting the special Davidson/Valentini Award. I will consider the Music Artist award just icing on the cake. |

Q3 mentioned yesterday that Adam should hire alidol as a personal assistant. It would surely be a good decision for him, but what a hole it would leave as far as the fandom is concerned! She seems to be connected to everything going on in Asia, and so graciously shares as much as she can with us around the world. She is everywhere! I hope she knows how much she is appreciated. ![]() Along those lines, Maddie, who lives in the U.S., seems to be everywhere, too. She covers numbers like crazy, and knows what is happening on both sides of the world. Many thanks to you, too! ![]() What would we do without this folks? Thanks, evergreen, for your kind words!  But you guys can most certainly do without me, @alidol is not just "everywhere" but "anytime", too. For the past 4 years, she's been operating on "Adam real time", not just keeping folks informed and updated but spending countless hours advocating and networking on Chinese social media for Adam and his music. Me? I often had to do catch-up on both sides of the world. A few things before I'm heading out to see "Oblivion"... 1) The Chinese Idol premiers on TV in China May 19th. 2) @alidol was in the US when Adam sang "that song" the first time on TV, and he won't be singing a cappella for the actual taping. 3) nica575, do you have a weibo account? weibo is a bit different from twitter, if you don't have an account, you won't be able to follow people or see everything.
