I know 4Msrmyn....I guess what I miss is the way those sites used to come up in a hierarchy when you clicked on 'recent' threads . That is not the same as the 'participated' as that only shows what you have posted. I used to click on that 'recent' tab and could immediately see where the action was...and go there if I wished.
Somewhat analagous to a push vs pull technology. Now everything but the main thread is fundamentally a pull...which consequently funnels all traffic to the default front page. This is what most of the other forums do as well and is why I always preferred it here. That, and the fact that there were often real conversations going on right in the main thread. Now that does not happen and it is sad...that is all. I can talk elsewhere...and do...but I miss real talking here. Pics/links and repeated pics are great....but not everything.
There were peeps in the moongarden that almost never posted on the main thread...no idea where they are...maybe like me, mostly lurking. I am a yappy person so I still post here and there....but little of consequence any more. :(
Still love coming here....just feeling nostalgic...
ETA...I have no idea why this is all in italics now!!! yikes

Did a ticket count for Del Mar. Only 29 reserved seats left. None of them are good. One section of GA left! GO ADAM!!!! The Train concert is not even close in ticket sales!  |

ETA...I have no idea why this is all in italics now!!! yikes ITA, Mszue....I used to frequent way more threads, but now I am having much more trouble navigating to find what I am looking for. For instance, if Irish hadn't told me where her Miami recap was in the shoutbox, I never would have looked at the subthread that it was in. I miss people's birthdays. And yes, a whole group of people chatted on the Moon Garden who weren't on the main thread. A very active place until things got rearranged.  Is it possible to reorganize some of the threads to make it more user-friendly like it used to be? Please yap more. I've tried to keep posting lately because more of us seem to be lurking. I did for awhile. But I became a member in order to yap too. I wanted to participate. Please don't stop..you always have something of interest to say.. ![]() |
