Adam Lambert Promotes AT&T LGBTQ Youth Awareness Campaign

Adam Lambert is the spokesman for AT&T's Live Proud campaign, which
seeks to promote pride among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and
questioning (LGBTQ) youth.

“Hey there, I'm Adam Lambert,” Lambert
says in a nearly 2-minute video for the campaign released Friday. “And
I've joined AT&T to empower youth across the nation to live proud.”

“Too
many lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth don't
believe they have a voice. But I want to show them that they do. And
encourage them to live free and to live proud.”

“So what is a
proud moment?” Lambert asks. “Is it holding hands with your partner in
public for the very first time? Coming out to your family? Or maybe your
first kiss?”

Lambert encourages viewers to share their proud moment at attliveproud.com for a chance to win a vacation and concert package.

“Including a private concert with me,” Lambert says.

The
campaign also hopes to raise $50,000 for The Trevor Project, the
California-based non-profit that runs the nation's only 24-hour, toll
free confidential suicide hotline for gay and questioning youth.

For each “like” at the AT&T Live Proud Facebook page, AT&T will donate $1 to The Trevor Project.
