Woo-hoo!! Adam on two weeks in a row!!! Cool!!! I hope they do a good job showing everything! I haven't seen any of the other WATN, have they been well done? Oh and Randy is leaving, Yay!! They have been very well done!  Awesome! |

They will have his WATN package tonight and then he will be performing duet with Angie next week. Adam is one of their biggest success stories, especially internationally. Yes, Adam is very talented. Yes, Adam is a great guy to work with. Yes, Adam is appreciative of Idol's role in his career and is not hesitant to say so. But, IMO, Idol features Adam when Idol thinks it will help the program. And their credibility. And their ratings. He could be a total asshole, and they would still feature him if they deemed it an advantage. Proof of my theory? Nicki Manaj. She is NOT a great singer. She is NOT great to work with, showing up late for a live show! She is NOT particularly appreciative of the program. Yet, they hired her over Adam, the great guy they love to work with and who demonstrated as a mentor that he could give specific and helpful feedback. It's about business and ratings. Not appreciation. IMO. YMMV. (Yes, I am bitter and cynical when it comes to Idol.) |

They didn't hire Nicki over Adam! They kept Randy over Adam!
But they know now that their Nicki/Mariah feud strategy was a huge turn off (literally) to their core audience! Huge misstep! I found it interesting that that article mentions Reilly instead of Darnell. That means they have stepped over Darnell to fix the problem! Good move!

I think so!! And announcing his duets next week?! So exited!! PS: JazzRocks, I am obsessed with JA case too. Hearing postponed today - some thinking suicide attempt. (JA) Adam COULD also be in the audience tonight! I hope his package has all the GREAT stuff he's been doing! If they were really showing his "package", the whole world would be watching!!!!! |

Just wondering if any of our East coast members that are going to suffer through -oopps! - watch Idol to see the segment on Adam would mind giving those of us in another time zone a hint as to what time Adam is on. We could tune in and watch and set our DVR's and not have to sit through the blah, blah, blah.  |
