Just wondering if any of our East coast members that are going to suffer through -oopps! - watch Idol to see the segment on Adam would mind giving those of us in another time zone a hint as to what time Adam is on. We could tune in and watch and set our DVR's and not have to sit through the blah, blah, blah.  I love Idol, haven't missed an episode since season 6. Will let you know when the segment is on, even though youtube(s) will probably be up before the West coast broadcast.  Thank you! With all the snide remarks about Idol I'm seeing, I'm glad I'm not the only one who still loves the show. True, I get annoyed and even disgusted with it at times, but I still look forward to it every year, enjoy it tremendously, and will probably watch it until it ends or I do--and they'll have to pry the remote from my cold, dead hands. Really sorry about Angie, but I would have been sorry to see any of the remaining three leave. I think they're all very talented. I hope Angie gets signed and has a nice career. There's ample proof that not winning doesn't mean you're never heard from again (Chris Daughtry, Jennifer Hudson, Kellie Pickler, ADAM), and winning doesn't mean you're going to have a huge career. Idol remains a really important way for previously unknown artists to get a following. I can't wait for Angie and Adam's duet next week! |

If I remembered S8, AI paired Top 1-4 to do duet with celebrities: Kris with Keith Urban Adam with KISS Gokey with Lionel Richie Allison with Cindy Lauper Even Matt got to duet with Santana (at the beginning of Santana's performance) Idol invited a lot of "big guns" as their guest in the finale. I think a lot of the "big guns" asked to be on the show or were willing when called because they liked Adam. He gave the show credibility. They've had big guns most years. Season five had Prince, for Pete's sake. |

Okay, someone please save me some time searching. I'm trying to find the YouTube pre-Idol song that Adam sang and danced to with Terrence and Johnnie in the spandex-like pants. I don't remember what song it was.

So Adam will be doing the duet with the Idol #3. I think this result was unexpected by Idol. I think they wanted Angie in the final. But she didn't have a real stand-out performance last night, and the hometown visit videos for Candice and particularly Kree were very emotional. I think the hometown stuff helped push Kree over Angie. ETA: I was surprised that they showed the hometown footage last night. They usually save it for the results night show. Not a good move as far as Angie is concerned. I think that Angie is the best technical singer but is not likable. She is also really did not deliver last night. And she is from New England. Candice seems to have done something to her vocal chords or voice in some way or she was very nervous and it came out as flat notes. They gave her the pimp spot and the best song -- Somewhere -- and she just did not sing it that well. At this point, I think Kree could win. Ha! all this to get a female pop vocalist and they may end up with someone who they have to make sing Country music. ** I will watch the Finale only because Adam is going to be on -- for 2 minutes. |

The question on twitter is will Adam still sing a duet with Angie, someone mentioned that only the top two do duets? Where is mys*&@^#r. AI is not on air yet in West Coast so don't she's coming to Atop until it's air. Adam will still be on and duet with Angie. They do it differently in different years. What does being from New England have to do with it? Do they vote less? The Idol tour maps shows lots more concerts in New England than in other parts of the country, in CA. |
