First, HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all the nurturers on ATOP.
And about last night, more validation that Adam is worth every minute and every cent we spend stanning him. He and Leila looked fabulous and happy, Adam's speech was so ADAM, just speaking from the heart and speaking his mind. I hope some in the audience who have never had to walk in his shoes can understand just a little what he deals with daily as he treads so perfectly through the spotlight around the world. I think there are very few who could do it so effectively. Nothing will ever convince me that he isn't a huge part of the progress the LGBT community has made in the last few years.

So proud and happy for Adam on this GLAAD award night. I've been following Adam since 2009, and he has matured so much in his acceptance of his positive role in the LGBT cause. Last night when standing in front of the winged logo props, he looked like an angel who had sprouted his wings.
Also, I want to give a shout out to Jinkx Monsoon, pictured with Adam on page 3 - a young man whose creativity, talent, strong sense of self, and positive attitude will, I believe, open opportunities for him beyond the world of drag. I was happy to see both Adam and Jinkx in the same photo.
And Leila looked just beautiful last night - what a proud moment for her son.
A joyous evening all around - looking forward to recaps from Atopers who attended.

I love Mr. Lambert -- I really do. His thoughts on inclusiveness get me every time I hear or read them. Can't we all just get along? So simple really.

However, I have noticed a trend the past few weeks in his photos that he is keeping a more natural look in his fashion and makeup. I have felt a more relaxed and accepting version of himself as of late, a sense of peace perhaps? I like it, it shows much inner growth.Could be. Or maybe the answer is just "because." He likes change. ![]()  |

Good morning! I'm bringing over my Mother's Day greeting from yesterday's thread and wishing Atop mother's and mother's everywhere a:  Adam was so classy, eloquent, and REAL when he spoke at the GLAAD awards yesterday. I'm so happy for all Atopians who got to be there and enjoy and share this beautiful moment with Adam. He knew he had his fans there to support him and show him how much they appreciate who he is as person as well as an amazing artist. Thanks to all who brought us all the excitement through vids, tweets, and pics! I am so anxious to hear recaps from the lucky Atops who were there! It seems there was a discussion about that waaay back, but I don't remember what was said. |
