Adam appears to have the maturity and emotional stability that allow him to keep his moorings with the pluses and minuses that come with being a pop star. The pluses are really huge: enough wealth to buy him luxury abodes, exotic vacations, fancy wheels, wining and dining at trendy restaurants, original art, all the $3,000 jackets and $1,800 boots he desires, etc. He is able to share this bounty with his family and friend, and has a platform to help causes he believes in. He is hobnobbing with mover and shakers in his business and singing with icons. The fantastic perks go on and on. As Adam said himself, he has a "fabulous lifestyle"
Unfortunately, the price for this fabulous lifestyle is very high: a terrible loss of privacy and invasion of personal life. Usually Adam seems able to pay the price with almost superhuman grace and good-natured resignation. Sometimes, like in the pap photos today, it seems like it is driving him nuts.
Still, when you compare him to the average 31 year old guy making $12 an hour in a boring, dead-end job just barely keeping food on the table and the rent paid, Adam is probably a lucky man indeed. I am sorry that the stressful overstepping of personal space causes him such frustration though. Life is always taking the good with the bad.

Changed my Avi, you guys like? I Also want to say, that on saturday at the GLAAD awards, Adam was so so so so so sweet to everyone. He said yes to everyone that asked to have a picture with him. He's just such a nice guy. Then when I see pictures like the pap pictures from last night with him covering his face, makes me sad. He's so giving and sweet I hate when he gets hounded by the paps et al, esp. when he's making it obvious that he doesn't want his picture taken. The GLAAD event was so much fun, my friend and I, as we were walking in were telling each other to keep our eyes open for Adam. I looked at her right then and said, for sure, and when I did that, boy was I surprised to find Adam was walking right next to us!! I had to do a double take to make sure I wasn't seeing things, lol. That's how I got some pics of him checking in at the table with Leila. I also didn't recognice Leila at first, I was saying to myself, who's the girl with him? Then I saw her face, she looks GREAT!! We said hi to Adam after he checked in and he was so sweet, he recognized my friend. I guess I'm not surprised by that as she's been to about 40 concerts in the last four years. After that we walked into the party and we were able to watch him walk and give interviews on the red carpet. After the RC he walked over to one of the little bars they had set up, where he took pics with people and talked, then he and Leila walked over to another area where they had pictures taken. Then an announcement was made for everyone to go to their tables now, so everyone, including Adam and Leila went up the escalator to where the show was going to be. We walked along with him, and he was stopping to take pictures with people again. Like I said, he's just so sweet. We got to where we needed to go sit down and I really wanted to have a pic with him, so I asked the security lady if we could. She said it was up to him!!! She was so nice too. So I then asked Adam if it would be ok to take a picture with him with me and my friend realy quickly, because I know he wanted to get to his table. He said "of course" and put his arms out and my friend and I were able to get a picture with him, which came out so nice. The show was great, was so proud of Adam and had a fantastic time. I met Jinkxy Monsoon and had a picture and hug with her and also with James and Jaymes from the Chippendales/Amazing Race. Those guys were so good looking I was dying being sandwiched in between the two of them, lol. Here's the link again to my pictures, which I posted yesterday. Re Adam and those paps....one of those 8 pics is very reminiscent of his look in the pics where he is fighting for the camera in Miami....it is the 'other' one of him behind the wheel of the car and he is not happy...or playing with the paps...he is angry. It seems like the paps live to anger and hurt their prey. I really hate to see Adam get to this place where it is no longer funny and his patience has run out. I can only imagine the dreck they spew at him to get a reaction like that....I wish there were something we could do.... Only way to know if if there is a videographer. Paps have been pretty nice to him, very respectful for the most part since they got chewed out by glamberts (an example where overprotectiveness has good results) It could just be that he forgot his sunglasses. Paps got chewed out by Glamberts? When was this and what happened? |
