At the end of yesterday's thread someone posted a video of Benji Schwimmer from So You Think You Can Dance speaking on "Mormon Stories." O.M.G. The entire interview is epic in story and in vulnerability.... and in length. The total interview is about SIX hours. It had me spellbound. He talked about his growing up years, his experiences in the Mormon Church, his time serving as a missionary, his experience on SYTYCD with some interesting deep background about the show, and his life long journey coming to grips with his natural sexual orientation and how that fits in the Mormon Church. If you watched SYTYCD and saw Benji, he was this kooky, bubbly, perpetually smiling, high energy, totally charming dancer. This interview delves into his inner struggles, starting with being bullied for being a dancer (and therefore a faggot) and being poor, his utter devotion to the Mormon Church, his bouts with severe depression trying to first deny his homosexuality, then trying to ignore it, then to change it (including reparation therapy), then trying to accept it but not act on it, and ultimately, his decision to leave the church as his only path to peace and survival. (He felt his only choices within the church were to marry a woman he was not attracted to, or be celibate and without intimate companionship for his entire life, or kill himself because he couldn't stand either of the first two options and thought the only way to go to heaven was to die before he could "slip up".) It is a deeply personal testimony of one gay man's journey. Part 3 concentrates on his attempts to come to grips with his orientation and make it work with his LDS faith, but the first two parts also chronicle his battle from early childhood on. So, if you have the time during a lull in Adam stuff, it is worth watching. It will tear at your heart hearing of his struggles with a strong faith that refused to accept his orientation. mormonstories.org/350-352-dance-champion-benji-schwimmer/

Goodnight! seoulmate, sweet dreams. Thank you so much, SophieB for the help. Adam looks very young in this pic, so I guessed that this is a one of the older pictures.

My song will always be Runnin, but also I like Pop That Lock, Kickin'in, Shady, Take Back, and then is the rest .. Honestly I adored it all what Adam sings live and also acoustic, for me it's a real memorable, fun, precious moments ... where really there are so few of them. Seriously it can be anything .. for instance like this ..
