I noticed that Adam changed his Twitter profile picture again -- it's another photo from the Idol finale night. It looks like it is from the red carpet -- you can see the American Idol logo behind him. Maybe a statement of the obvious, but it seems like Adam is more actively campaigning for a judge's seat this year. Last year when he was asked about his interest in being a judge he simply answered that he would love to be considered. This week at the Idol post-finale Q&A with the media he not only said "tell me where to sign", but also gave a long answer about how he would approach being a judge (his "manifesto", as it were ). Now, in addition, there is a conveniently timed appearance on Chinese Idol briefly sitting at the judges' table, and a new twitter avi with the Idol logo in the background. Maybe I'm reading too much into all this, but ... The truth is I think Adam has a better shot at becoming an Idol judge this year. I never believed that it was going to happen last year -- FOX was clearly bent on getting high-profile judges for both X-Factor and Idol in order to boost ratings and better compete with The Voice. Well, as we know, that tactic didn't pay out, so they are likely to be looking at other factors: better potential judging ability, more chemistry with other people on the judging panel and lower salaries. Personally, I'm neutral about Adam being an Idol judge. I can see how it could help him, as well as how it might not. But if he truly wants it, then I hope he gets it.

That pic of Adam & Riff put a huge smile on my face and melted my heart at the same time. So adorable!! I wonder when & where it was taken? I loved everything about Adam on Idol and am so pleased all all the positive attention the duet received. Can't wait for the Life Ball and all the other events he has lined up. Excited about A3, well, maybe not the waiting part (LOL), but looking forward to what he will give us. I know it will be wonderful! Ok, off to enjoy the rest of this beautiful Sunday afternoon in Texas! Have a good week, everyone! Just a guess, but I think the photo looks like it was taken yesterday at the Getty event. Looks like the same outfit as in the picture on page 1 of this thread (also same trees in the background, I think).

What would really help the views of the Adam/Angie video would be David Guetta tweeting the link. He has over 9,000,000 followers. I guess he's not into promoting other artists even if they sing his song. The number of twitter followers some celebrities have amazes me. David Guetta 9M? And I think JJ has about as many. With Adam's popularity in China it's too bad the country has no twitter because I think he'd be way up there too. Not that it really matters all that much. I'm getting the feeling that era3 is going to be very successful. Even now, before it's even started, I sense a more accepting - even welcoming - attitude in the industry towards him. Maybe not radio just yet, but I think that will come when it becomes obvious that he has the respect and admiration of his peers in the music business. JHud does quite poorly on radio and her sales are lackluster. Yet she seems to have plenty of cred in the entertainment/music world. I assume that's because of her oscar. I can see Adam having a similar career. Not winning oscars of course (because I don't think he's the world's best actor at the moment :D) but doing a run around radio to achieve major success in the US. Internationally he's already on his way. What I just wrote is all BS because I know nothing but I just have a very good feeling about things right now after all the accolades he's gotten since his Idol performance and his on-going successes abroad. I loved your optimistic post, and like you I think era 3 will be very successful There is just something in the air LOL. He has spent the last couple of years building goodwill and respect by being super talented and very nice to everyone. He is loveed a lot.

OT as this is about Cheeks (whom I simply adore). I am so happy that many of Adam's close friends are finding success in their respective fields! I also think Brad Had influenced Adam quite a bit and was an important part of Adam's evolution into the person he is today - all my assumption, I might be totally wrong. Dianne @needacoke He's special, isn't he? :DDD RT @janeespenson: Never saw this before. Love! RT @indiesoapawards: @gocheeksgo Wins!: www.welovesoaps.net/2013/05/isa4-brad-bell-wins-best-actor-comedy.html …"What I really wanted to do with this script and this story was to show that even if you have stereotypes, even if you are feminine and have long eyelashes, or you love Madonna, or you sashay down the street, it doesn't mean that you're not a fully developed human being and you don't have depth or dimension. My femininity is actually what gives me strength. It is not a weakness. "
BRAVO CHEEKS!!!!
I have been watching "Husbands" and some of the interviews. Brad is a very good actor and a terrific writer. He really deserved that award. Some Adam comments about his first love: 04C. Bronson, Fred. "Adam Lambert: The ultimate interview, Part Three." I was 25 and I hadn’t been in love. I felt like there was a part of me that was like, “I don’t understand something about life, like a big thing.” I listened to these songs on the radio or CDs or I’d see these musicals about people being in love with each other and what that feels like and what heartbreak feels like and the joy of what love is and I had sex but I’d never been in love and just didn’t get it. It was really interesting because during and after that relationship, everything changes. It’s like, “Oh, that’s what they were talking about.” I thought that was so corny before and now I am crying because I totally identify with what that feels like. So that was a big turning point for personal growth.
ETAHere is the photo that Brad hurriedly slammed face down in one of the "Husbands" episodes:

In order to maintain my sanity (LOL), I try so hard not to let myself speculate too much on Adam's future, but....well, I must admit that I "ditto" iridium's thoughts completely. Thanks for posting them!

Many celebrities would profess to want to help the young contestants when asked about being an Idol judge, but a lot of that would be just lip service, and the real goal would be to promote themselves. When Adam says that he wants to be an Idol judge because he is in a unique position to help contestants be their honest and best self, he means every word. The way he treated Angie and focused on making their duet successful for her sake attests to this. If Idol is smart, and sometimes that is open to question, they would sign him posthaste.
