Thanks for the info: Glad to hear that they don't take those studio recordings down anymore at the end of a season and therefore this song will be available longer. I am aware that she is getting songwriting credit for it and I agree that overall she lucked out with how everything went for her the last two weeks. I just don't think that this treatment was in her interest and I doubt she was legally experienced enough to see through all that and in the end probably also did not have a choice once she signed her soul away to idol.
Tough business.
So, if the seasons are now kept on i-tunes, could they technically also put season 8 back up? If idol needs money, I think I just found a simple way to make some.
Re idol judging there is one comment I wanted to make since days, but never got around to it, so here it is:
The role where Adam would shine the most imo would actually be the work with the contestants behind the scenes (like Jimmy Iovine does right now), with the ability to comment externally on occasion.
But a) the show is Interscope and Adam is RCA and would therefore be doing talent development for the competition. So it is never going to happen.
b) the role is also more time intensive and would probably require more time away from recording and promoting (even though promoting on idol is probably better than hustling des-interested radio stations, if you ask me). But still, especially from Jan-May, this would take a lot of Adam's time and so I don't think he would want to do that either.
But just from a standpoint of the role itself, Adam would be ideally suited for it, imo. Even better than judging, where Adam might also be at risk of finding too many performances wonderful.
Not gonna happen, I know.

Finally, my thoughts are with all folks in Oklahoma tonight. Glad to hear from Burrito and that she and her kiddos are ok.
