OT but related to music.. I was at a dinner party tonight and heard about this for the first time when one of the guests mentioned that she was taking a guitar class online which included uploading her assignments onto soundcloud and a peer review from other people taking the course from around the world.. it's such a great idea that I wanted to share it here. These are free online classes offered by universities around the world. There are many different classes, but here are some courses offered under Music, Film, and Audio.. some of the participating schools are the Berklee College of Music, California Institute of the Arts, National University of Singapore, University of Copenhagen.. to name a few. www.coursera.org/courses?orderby=upcoming&cats=musicThis web site is SO COOL!!! Not just guitar classes, but online classes in all sorts of things: Arts, Biology, Computer Science, Food & Nutrition, Law, Medicine, Music, Teacher Professional Development to name just a few. Most of them do not assume a background in the field. And it's all FREE!!! I am part way through the first week of a course on "Audio & Music Engineering". |

my heart is heavy...I'm losing another dog...my German Shepard. I can't stand this heartache....another rescue....no more I can't take this pain
