Adam Lambert, AT&T Raising Funds For The Trevor Project
Being lesbian, gay, bisexual, transsexual, queer, transgender, etc, is not something that comes along for one month every year. It’s something that we spend our lives with. But, at least Pride Month does see a rise in the help that LGBT people get from corporations. This month, Adam Lambert, The Trevor Project and AT&T have all joined together forLive Proud.
The campaign promises to raise about $25,000 for The Trevor Project, which helps at-risk-for-suicide LGBT youths, and that is the minimum amount that they are seeking to raise. AT&T has pledged to give $1 to The Trevor Project up to $50,000 for everyone who ‘likes’ the Live Proud campaign on Facebook and add in an additional fifty cents for everyone who retweets with @att, @trevorproject or @adamlambert along with the hashtag #attliveproud.
They are also running a contest in which ten LGBT adults could win tickets to the Live Proud VIP Experience at which Lambert will be performing a private concert for the winners and their guests. The contest asks for LGBT adults to submit their proudest moments through video or written testimonials.
Lambert recorded a video (above) in which he stated “Too many lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning youth don’t believe they have a voice — but I want to show them that they do, and encourage them to live free and to live proud.”The campaign runs through 30 June.
