Hi 'thebean' - I don't have any insight but just a few random thoughts.
If Adam's set had begun on time . . . (what a wish!) he would have finished at 11PM. He started a little over 30 minutes late; but still finished just around 11PM. Maybe his performance had to end at 11PM in order for other performances/activities to take place; or in order for the crew to dismantle the set/stage before regular traffic resumes tomorrow.
As for the song choices . . . seems Adam wanted this concert to remain upbeat throughout . . . no OOL; no Stay; no Underneath; and we haven't heard 'Aftermath' since GNT, if I'm not mistaken. Maybe, if he'd had more time, we would have heard Kickin In or Pop That Lock.
He's never performed Nirvana, Runnin or By the Rules in a live performance; I doubt we will ever see them on stage. He's a forward thinker; I'm feeling like he is on to creating new music.
But - - with Adam, we never know for sure!

Not complaining or criticizing, but..... that was a bit strange. Very little banter with the audience. No mention of Gay Pride (unless I missed it during a commercial), it seems that Shady was the "end" of the concert, but there was no "thank you, you've been a great crowd, good night" either then, or after the three songs that were, I guess encores??? Crowd seemed happy and full of party. The set was high energy. But, ???? I was a little confused too.. I couldn't see what was happening, but after Shady, the music stopped without anything being said as far as I could tell from the ustream. I wondered if they went off stage waiting for the crowd to call them back for encores, but not sure if the crowd knew to do that.. at least, I didn't hear the crowd yelling for them to come back or anything.. and then they were back on stage.. so yeah, confusing. But glad everyone seemed to have a great time. |

Has Adam EVER done a 90 minute set? This was about an hour right? Didn't expect any more......I thought it was upbeat and a good mix.  |
