Just back from Pride. Fun weekend. Another contributor to late start was that it took the stage crew about 20 min to try to put a tent cover over the electronic equipment on stage after it started raining. The ending did seem a bit abrupt and odd that no one came out and made it clear that was the end and not an additional encore. I thought Adam seemed happy to be back on stage and wailing, letting go vocally and dancewise. I agree w/ others that the banter was minimal. but one never knows, he did go over and talk to the sound guys a few times when he might have been bantering. Most people had been standing on pavement 4 hrs plus so I think he was wise to stay with the upbeat songs and keep the audience engaged.

I was fortunate to catch Adam soundchecking and then got in line w/ him meeting fans for 45min or so. I have to publicly state how annoyed I am with myself that I froze and mumbled something mundane like 'thanks for coming out' and he said 'of course'. I was stuck between wanting to tell him lots of meaningful things (like I love his voice, went to see him w/ Queen in London, congrats on awards), but was not able to come up with something quick as it all happened so fast. This was before the line started getting longer. He was so sweet and polite and accommodating to everyone. This was a massive fail on my part! I am so irritated that I did not make better use of the time. But it is so hard to be there and look him in the eye and just talk, it was like staring into the sun and I froze. I think I touched his back lightly for a quick pic that my spouse took -- he is SO thin, lean.
