And, Adam remains his gracious self acknowledging his friend Charl and his Tony nomination. Adam creates family wherever he goes.
Lorraine, I was in the 2nd row of a seated GNT in Illinois with folding chairs in front of the theater seats, and Adam was on my side of the stage--the person in front of me moved out of the way and Adam beckoned me to move closer and touch him, AND I COULDN'T MOVE AT ALL. I just stared adoringly up at him, grinning like a madwoman, with my hands together under my chin (think Paula's transfixed) . He flashed me a smile and I felt as if there was a bright light shining around both of us as we shared that moment. I'm in my 60's and never stanned anyone before. I can honestly say Adam paralyzed me.

Adam should not be affiliated with that sexist piece of crap song EVER. I should probably walk away from this touchy subject but it seems like a great discussion point about music today and I am going to tie it to Adam in a minute. To me this song represents so many things in the industry, bad and maybe even good. First off, I see why the song and video are offensive to you. To me it is no worse, and even better, than a lot of what is out there in lyrics and video content today. That is not meant as a defense, only to point out that it has become normal to present sex as a meaningless game between people with little consequence and lots of power to control each other. It's a sad message to give youth. I could say alot more about it but I don't think I need to. BUT on the other hand...this song, which is hitting number ones across the globe, DOES NOT FIT THE MOLD of pop music. If you disregard the questionable message, it is a pleasant, musical treat from the mindnumbing same 10 songs being played on the radio, IMO. Maybe this is another sign of the changing drection that Adam has predicted? |
