I'm having so much fun perusing the SD thread, which I didn't know existed until today, and getting ideas of who will be attending and what there is to do. I'm coming few days early and doing the 'Jim Rockford thing.' Would love to live in an Airstream on the beach, but next bet thing is hanging out there - a la Gidget. This is going to be incredible. I've been so excited my daughter texted me last night and asked, "You ARE coming back, right?" I told her I probably would. Can't wait to see y'all. Bama, I'm in same seat as you are but in section 3, wave to me. Someone at work was just telling me last Friday how she grew up going to the Del Mar fair and how it was one of the best fairs in the country. Had me wishing that I was getting to Del Mar earlier so that I could spend more time there. But, I am stopping to visit family in Texas on my way there, so don't want to cut that short. As a person who spent most of her life in San Diego, I can concur that this is true. In addition the setting and the weather can't be beat. Lucky folks that are gong what is bond to be a fantastic concert.

This is completely OT but...it sort of relates as: 1. "a bit of theatre..." and 2. Adam was on the Graham Norton show
this is just so ickily funny hahaha

Like all of us, I have been worried about Kamamr. I think of her whenever I see a news story about Syria, and think how I know a very, smart, funny and nice young girl that lives there. Atop will breathe a collective sigh of relief when she logs on again. I have been doing a little research about how labels make money during this new age of Spotify and youtube and found this article interesting. Here is a little paragraph that popped out to me and the link: Not so the record labels. "Our revenue is growing month on month at a fantastic rate," says Richard Leach, digital distribution manager for Cooking Vinyl. "It's unhelpful to get hung up on per-stream rates, and it's better to focus on the aggregate figure, which is really healthy." www.guardian.co.uk/media/2013/jan/04/record-labels-making-money-youtube

LOL I just told my boyfriend: "Do you wanna go to San Diego to see Adam? There's someone selling two tickets." His answer: "No fucking way." /o\ (Not that we could go anyway, haha... But what an answer he gave me. LOL I think he had enough in Helsinki. LOLOLOL). OR he was afraid you were serious! Maybe, hahaha! ETA: I was half serious, actually. LOL If I could clone myself so my clone would go to work instead of me, I would. LMAO

Here's a convo concerning revenue per stream from a writer. Emanuel Kiriakou @emanuelkiriakou 21 Jun Thank you so much pandora_radio! 20 million Pandora plays of a song I wrote equated to $845.20!! Here's to #iTunesRadio putting you OUT!! Ron Perry @theronperry 21 Jun @emanuelkiriakou the Itunes radio rate is approximately double the pandora rate...so you'll make $1,700 for those 20M plays. Emanuel Kiriakou @emanuelkiriakou 21 Jun @theronperry a 100% increase is a step in the right direction. The larger the subscriber base gets the better the rate will get hopefully

That last sentence gives some hope because the subscriber base is bound to grow, and probably grow fast. More money coming in, more money to share.

I found the Broken Open video version I wanted (FS) for a mp3 download but when I open any download folder that's suppose to have a mp3 they all say 'not found'. Adamrocks, have you tried converting to an mp3 with one of these? www.clipconverter.cc/www.youtube-mp3.org/peace&love
