What a coincidence! In the 6th picture down, the little person is one of my daughter's best friends, Mary Beth! She has a degree in political science and is very active in the Democratic party.

Tomorrow is the last day of the Supreme Court session, so the decisions on the 2 same-sex marriage cases will definitely be announced. Thought this might be of interest: the NY Times published this graphic which does a good job of summarizing the main issues of both cases and the possible judgments that the court could hand down. www.nytimes.com/interactive/2013/03/24/us/how-the-court-could-rule-on-same-sex-marriage.htmlMany legal experts think that the court is likely to make a conservative decision in the CA case, but many are saying that the justices will likely strike down the part of DOMA that prevents legally married same-sex partners from receiving federal benefits. Hoping for the best.

Another Idol article. As far as I'm concerned, if they are auditioning for chemistry between the judges, Adam's got this! He'd have chemistry with a door! Kind of nervy for Darnell to sign JHud. I am sure he knew his job was on the chopping block! Now I understand why her contract is on hold. Never was quite understanding that! www.deadline.com/2013/06/american-idol-adds-2-executive-producers/

Have been out of commission for a few weeks, so just wanted to say a belated thanks to dancygeorgia for her terrific Pittsburgh Pride videos. Thanks so much for all of your hard work! Also, loved Adam's SSB at Broadway Bares. Simply a master class for singing (as always!).

Hoping for the best. After today's totally odd and very bad decision on Voting Rights, I am not trying to guess what they will do. But it has not been a good week so far. I am hoping for at least one really good decision.

Happy irony. Just found my copy last night while clearing out a cluttered bookshelf (I "saved" it so well I forgot where I stashed it! #eyeroll) Right under it was the Washington Post I bought the day of Obama's 1st inaugaration. Two pieces of much beloved history for me. You know, no matter how much we may embrace the electronic age, there is something very precious and special about print. To be able to hold something tangible from a specific era re-enacts that time so clearly. [grins] I put them both back on the shelf. The kiddie books can go somewheres else.

Sorry but I just have to post this again after all the comments. Each time I have listened and watched this video - the hairs on my arms stand up & the back of my neck gets tingly. So far, efforts at seeing a live Adam performance have been thwarted. Someday soon, I hope.
