As Kara said, he is a master strategist. This Broadway blitz is pure genius. Not many people can "arrange an audition" like that in front of all the the mover and shakers of Broadway and then blast it through the roof. Hmmm. I hadn't thought of this as anything other than him reconnecting with his roots....I certainly do not think there is any reason to believe Adam intends to return to theater anytime soon-he has said this, and of course, to do so would be turning his back on his main objective. But Adam has recently talked about working on screen. So I suppose that creating a buzz with the big wigs in the theater world could possibly be a link into that next Hollywood musical. The man is a master at networking afterall. I tell ya, insider respect is what is gonna get him far, so maybe you are on to something. |

The toni7babe's video has just over 11K views so far. Given the excellency of the performance it would've been nice to have a wider reach... I hope Yahoo would cover the event... People should hear this. I suppose no one at the concert recorded it in full, or at least they are not uploading... I guess we'll have to wait for the "August" DVD... The new baby picture - OMG! cuteness overload! and so prophetic! Sigh. It seems that everyone in the audience was totally surprised when Adam walked on stage and began to sing. A couple of lines into the song, they collectively caught their breaths and realized they were witnessing something spectacular, pulled out their cell phones and began recording. Can you imagine folks who are members of the Broadway community or are invenerate Broadway patrons first hearing Adam introduced? Many may have thought either "Who the hell is he?" or "Why is some guy from a reality TV show performing?" or "Is this a joke? Some notorious pop celebrity cheapening our production?" There may even have been a few eye-rolls in the crowd. Then the man/alien begins to sing. Just his voice. A cappella. Blowing off the roof. "O! M! G! Quick. Get the camera out. I have to capture this!" I am sure Adam made a number of converts that evening. hahaha. Resistance is futile! |

I love the audience comments: "He's incredible" "What a voice" And you can hear the giggling too which is many people's way of expressing OMG OMG when in the moment. |

I actually didn't mean to imply he deliberately set out to do this but when the opportunity opened (and I still wonder how it did since he is not on Broadway and this was their show), he must have known the kind of exposure he would get and to all the "right" people who could only help by being blown away (which they were). I don't think he is leaving the pop scene at all but cred is cred. And boy does he have cred!!!! |

They all seem to start at almost precisely the same time. Makes me very curious what the hell Adam sang BEFORE this that prompted so many to reach for their cameras. Adam is so adorable in that picture. I can see the hint of fierceness to come in his gaze!
I noticed the picture was posted about 7AM NYC time. That's early for Adam to be up. Hmmm is he flying? Meetings?...
