Hi. Just one correction to your set list: #15 was Shady + Band Intros + Free Your Mind (an En Vogue song), not Come Together. I was at the concert last night -- so awesome. Sounds like a cliche, but Adam does get better and better, both vocally and in stage presence (if that's possible!). And he seemed so happy to see all of his friends and family there. I saw Mom, Dad, Sutan, Danielle, and Adam's high school drama teacher (can't remember his name), among other folks. And yes, the streaker had the same outfit on as in the Idol hometown visit. Really a funny moment. As you can see in the videos, Adam was surprised, but totally sweet about it, telling security to be nice to her. Also funny -- Adam wondering why so many people in the audience were dressed like bees. Lol. My partner and I had to work yesterday morning, so we drove down to Del Mar in the afternoon and got to the fair just in time for dinner. Perfect timing, because we also got treated to the sound check. The concert itself was so much fun -- like a big party. At the end I was hoarse, slightly deaf and soaked with sweat (from dancing) -- all in all, a perfect evening! Thanks, Adam.  Will post more details later, if I get a chance. But if anyone has any questions about the concert, I'll try to answer them. I have a question. How was the audience reaction? Did you get to talk to any non-fans? If so what did they think of the concert? Judging from the videos & from tweets it seems it was a huge success! Also - do we know what the attendance was? Again - it looked packed in the photos so I'm just wondering. He is definitely looser, more relaxed, funnier, sexier and in great voice! It can't get any better than this! Video update: we have the entire SD show in HD. We have been working but have REALLY slow hotel internet. Doing the best we can. : )Worth waiting for! Sorry I'm late responding, but I had to work today (ugh). In terms of the venue, the Del Mar fairgrounds are adjacent to a racetrack (for horse racing). Since there were no races during the fair, the stage was erected right on the track, directly in front of the track grandstand. The staff also put chairs down in front of the stage -- these were the premium floor section seats noted on the Ticketmaster site. We were sitting in one of the center floor sections, in row 10 (as it turned out, just a few rows behind Leila). We were pretty much surrounded by fervent Adam fans, so I didn't get to talk to any new or non-fans. Everyone around us had a great time, standing and dancing virtually the whole way through the concert (no surprise!). Lots of folks dressed in black/yellow (hence Adam's bee comments); there were also Adam fans and glow sticks being handed around, as well as beach balls being batted around in the crowd. The concert had a fun, almost party-like atmosphere. In terms of attendance, I know that the concert wasn't sold out. I checked Ticketmaster on Monday night, and there were unsold seats. Also, signs were posted in the fair that concert tickets could be purchased for $8 (these might have been for the GA sections). From where I sat it was hard to see the upper decks, but the lower ones looked pretty full. Lots of enthusiasm for Adam in the crowd, from what I could see. Really a fun night. I wish you all could have joined us. |

It's so great to be getting recaps of the concert - I almost missed the one by Q3, which is on Page One. I don't think it was there early this morning. And it is so worth going back for! Thanks to all who have recapped, videoed and searched Twitter for the best stuff. This place is the best! ![]() |

AFL's stage craft and vocals keep improving with each concert. And he keeps getting more and more comfortable in his own skin which is incredibly irresistible, the sexy MoFo.
His kavorka rating is officially off the charts.
