7.9.13 Album Rumors......and other silliness

First of all, all the 'leaving RCA' chatters are utter nonsense, not even a sign of that - fully agree. This only came here because it was part of what RCAMod responded to, not because it is something I am giving even one minute of credence. Agree with him there.

Now, Q3, thanks for your offer and I would love to share a drink with you, really would! Some day, some time, hopefully soon.
But I do think your price is a bit steep, don't you agree?

If you make me choose between having an album of nothing but covers and a drink with you, sorry gal, your price is a tad too high, lol. Neither do I want an album with only covers, nor do I think we will get an album with only covers, btw.

But after what went down the last few days, I do believe that we will probably get at least some covers and maybe some dug up material from way back when. MJ and Freddie stuff would be one of the best possible scenarios there, because at least those would be lying there due to Freddie's passing and not because the stuff was second rate and did not make some album cut. But I am not expecting that, because Queen is not RCA and they never would give Freddie original stuff away and that would get awfully complicated anyways. So this will not happen.

I agree that the developing news cycle (and it is only beginning, unfortunately), is not pleasant. It is a field day for those who want him ill and that his label seems to be ultimately at the source of this makes this hard to take. (Yup, this is still my impression, in spite of what RCAMod wants to be said). RCA could deny it, if they wanted the topic off the table. They don't, they have no comment, they let it stew instead, which is telling.

Force field up, when reading comments, I guess. Ryan has drunk too much idol happy juice. No way, do I want or ever believe that Adam would do such idolesque kind of covers.

I am sure it will be a combination of interests that will come together or in my mind already have come together to form a unique concept, because I don't think they would do any talking or alternatively be silent about a developing rumors, if there were not some intent to get people thinking in that direction. They are up to something, for sure.

Randomly thinking out-loud --

Adam decides to release a conceptual album and writes a few of his own songs which are included. The album is released and one of his own songs takes off into the stratosphere; not one of the covers (although everyone is blown away by his interpretation of the originals). 

IF the album has several covers RCA will choose singles from that selection - that's my reading into their sorry fearful souls, and no one will even know there are Adam's original songs there...

.... it's been over 24 hours of the "rumor" and no attempt  to stop the meltdown.... I am starting to make my own conclusions. 8-|..

This rumor has ruled my brain all day. I have been wondering if this kind of rumor is usually based on a kernel of truth, or are they made up out of whole cloth. I mean a scenario like this is just so extremely cynical:
This site sure needs hits. Glamberts are good for hits especially if the item is negative. I know, I will say that his 3rd album will be 80s covers. I will throw in a "label source" to make it seem official. Those Glamberts are sure to storm this site!
I can't imagine anyone with any integrity doing something like that which is why I have trouble completely dismissing these kinds of rumors.  Also someone like SH has built up a reputation that would be but in jeopardy if she printed stories without any basis of truth.
