Excited to be celebrating an ATopper's BD tonight at a very fancy hotel/bar her gorgeous son works at in LA! Not gonna spill her name but I'll give you a hint. Her initials are CAYMAN! Adam's words always have many meanings! No one is laughing at you! And he likes wordplay. Look at the lyrics to his songs. Filled with wordplay of all forms. Even anagrams buried in some of the songs. Listing all those wordplays, anagrams, etc in Adam's songs would be a great slow day topic!! Hopefully, it will be a while before it is a slow day again! |

So does this mean that he can never include anything firm FYE or TP in any ...best of... Or Live...album, Ever??? Wow... He can perform them, he just can't re-record them. I am not sure about live performance recordings, but typically these just require permission and a rights payment. Yes I assumed that but you said he could not re-record them. So....what happens if, a couple of albums down the road, his new label wants to put out a "greatest hits" or "best of Adam" album, and wants to include WWFM....and any others from FYE or TP, then what? Ditto putting out a Live album such as GNL? And what if he wants to/is asked to sing any tracks off these albums on Glee? Can they be included on a Glee compilation? Could the 'new' version from the show be used or would they have to return to the original? What about anything written for either of these albums but rejected by RCA --can I assume those are 'free game' or were they paid for by RCA and therefore, theirs? .....sorry...we need a lawyer here...  |

Yikes, i peeked over at the old old place & won't do it again. I stan Adam because I admire him so much and can't understand why anyone would spend their time talking about someone they want to see fail! Q3 has way better self control than me.
I was an intern at RCA in LA in the early 90's and they didn't have one exciting contemporary artist on the label at that time, instead doing mostly reissues of artists that were already dead. I have no clue who's on what label anymore but it sounds like maybe RCA still likes playing it safe - boring!
I'm looking forward to Adam having great success on Glee and with whatever record label is lucky enough to get him.

I also love the way Adam plays with words - this last round of VINES/Tweets/Prose has me wondering what I've missed previously.
