I've been analyzing the thread for the last few days and all I can say is "I have no life" because all I do is related to Adam. I've been up, down and around with every move he makes. I am however really surprised how this all played out. I'm proud and worried at the same time. Glee was a surprise and the split from RCA even more so. Not that I don't think it's right for Adam because I do but because it takes real balls to walk away from a contract and we know he has them. Until we hear he as signed with a new label I will worry! BUT, what do I know!!!!!!!!!! If he ever looks in, Adam, I love and support YOU!!!!!!!ALWAYS

Shosh did tweet about the conference call... Yes. And "watched" their tweets that day. The timelines fit.

Just to add (ducking tomatoes?) I am THANKFUL for everything RCA did for Adam. They took him on when he was inexperienced, stuck with him through the AMA mess, and allowed him to executive produce Trespassing. Though I am glad he's moving on...the songs Adam writes deserve to be singles. I also admire the professional way Adam parted ways with RCA: respectful and no name change to an unpronounceable symbol a la Prince. Right. Good points. They could have totally dropped him after the AMA's, however, that particular mess did get him a LOT of press. With Trespassing, RCA made major mistakes, the main one being that they did not promote the songs off the album that would have likely done well in today's radio climate. Adam is good at parting ways with people. He has a string of exes that are loyal to him as friends. Also, in the 4 years that I have been an obsessed fan, I have yet to see any article published anywhere that starts with "Adam Lambert dissed me" or anything like that. Maybe he will go independent, who knows? I just hope that whatever happens there is some decent PR with this next album and a single is chosen that would actually make some waves on the radio. Actually, after the AMAs RCA ducked for a bit. They already had the album out and it sold. $$$ make label execs happy. Most of the senior execs who supported Adam are all gone from RCA now. RCA's handling of Trespassing did get Adam a #1 album BUT that is about all it got him. The singles did not reflect what was on the album so if one was a big hit, it might not have converted into album sales. And they did not release Fever (no guts) in 2010, or Cuckoo or Naked Love from Trespassing. I still think all three would be hits.

The analyzing most of you are doing now to make the puzzle pieces fit is what we did bfore the fact. Same thing, really. One just has to be open to the possibilities, connect the dots, and "Trust a Bitch"

Adam Lambert Reveals RCA Records Exit in Open Letterby Jessica Sager July 13, 2013 9:36 AM Adam Lambert is walking away from RCA Records — and you won’t believe why. Lambert’s label was looking for a concept album for the followup to ‘Trespassing.’ Namely, RCA wanted Lambert to record an entire album of 80′s cover songs. However, Glamberts didn’t like this idea at all, despite Lambert’s cover of Tears for Fears’ ‘Mad World’ being one of the best ‘American Idol‘ renditions ever. Rumors grew louder when Lambert covered another Tears for Fears hit, ‘Shout,’ at his performance for the Trevor Project earlier this month. Lambert is now leaving RCA due to “creative differences,” which he revealed in an open letter to The Hollywood Reporter, who initially broke the story of the covers concept. You can check out his full letter below. More + POLL: popcrush.com/80s-covers-adam-lambert-rca/?trackback=twitter

Just my opinion, but I think this whole thing has been carefully orchestrated to break the news right. Shirley was used but doesn't know it. She ended up getting the scoop and Adam's letter so I am sure she wouldn't even care. Oh, I am sure Covers were discussed with RCA as one of the ideas. And maybe even the main idea they were trying to push. But that leak at Trevor to Shirley was intentional, and not to feel out the fans. It was to make RCA look like the bad guy. It was necessary to precede today's open letter from Adam. It set the stage for him. My guess from "intel" is that all of this was decided before 6/11. And I just have to say that Shoshanna is brilliant! I'd say Shoshanna & DMG are brilliant! She cannot set this up without all the works that DMG did.. such as Glee etc. And when fans get impatient and trying to get some information from her... she always twitted fans, " A lot of stuffs behind the scenes". I believe her and I believe Adam/DMG & Shoshanna have more stuff working on now .. GOOD STUFF.. GREAT STUFF.. even AMAZING STUFF!! And yes.. Shosh doesn't fly all the way to LA this week end just to be at the MKS music video making??!! She's got to have more important meetings with Adam/DMG... MORE STUFFS COMING OUR WAY!!!! GOOD STUFF.. GREAT STUFF.. even AMAZING STUFF!!
