The singer, who has joined the stage with the iconic band before during American Idol and in London last summer, revealed he was at first nervous to rock out with the legends. “I was so, so nervous at first. I flew over to London to start rehearsals with them [last summer] and we only had 10 days scheduled and it was a lot of material to learn … but they were like chilling on a family vacation with your grandparents, cool uncle and cool grandpa, like they’re the cool guys who partied in the ’70s telling me stories.” And aside from rocking out with Queen, the singer is also due to take on a role on FOX’s Glee. So what is Adam’s role going to be and how will the tragic death of castmate Cory Monteith be played out on the show? “I have no detail yet,” he says. “All I’ve had is a meeting with [creator] Mr. Ryan Murphy. We brainstormed a bit about what could possibly be my role and so it’s kind of still in development. I don’t know when I start, but I’m so excited and of course this weekend was tragic news, so that might put a spin on things but I hope that … the cast and myself can hopefully honor Cory’s memory some how and I’m sure they’ll find a tasteful way to do so.

Another tabloid picked up the Daily Mail story about Sauli and Adam. Also they treat it sensibly, not engaging in too much gossip-mongering (a bit surprised as this is the one that normally does it). Maybe because July is a 'standstill' month here, everybody is on vacation. Also we are far behind in Glee schedule getting the previous season in the autumn. But of course anything to do with Sauli will get some mentions in Finland. Surely new label and especially new music will be reported extensively. I have been so happy that many European countries that often are quiet did publish several articles on Glee casting (especially Sweden and France). And it seems the show is broadcasted in many countries in Europe which should further advance Adam exposure where it hasn't quite picked up yet. All kinds of rock is also alive and well here which might gain him more attention and respect. Exciting times! |

Preaching to the choir, I know, but Adam is so well-spoken. and so it’s kind of still in development. I find it strange, but from all the great news in the last week, the "revisiting rock-n-roll roots" is my highlight (very closely followed by dumping RCA and singing again with Queen). If anything he is writing is even remotely close to Runnin', I will be in heaven! SO so agree. I'm still hoping that song gets out somewhere, sometime. Maybe Glee? Runnin... one of my ultimate Favs of Adam's two albums. When asked why it was not on the main album, did he not say something liked he "F'ed up". Remember when the album first came out and Runnin was getting amongst the most buys on itunes etc. ...one of the writers twittered or posted his "appreciation" and support for the song. It is more R and R!
After years of reading this thread, it was my assumption he was doing pop as that is what he likes himself,....and Atopers commented re his not doing Rock and Roll as it would be tough for Adam to get air play anyway. So I wonder what kind of "version" of R and R is floating around in his brain. Pop/electronic R&R?? PLEASE may it be radio catchy...with great hooks. PLEASE may it get played. He can sing the SHIIIIIT out of Rock and Roll...his concerts would be AMAZING! ...Just have to get to the point of ability to tour with a successful A3. He can always do concerts but another World Tour is my wish...and Canada better have more than Montreal as a stop! |

NoAngel @noangelpf Asking abt Glee. No detail yet. He's met with Ryan M and "brainstormed a bit". No details on when he'll start filming.
So there is still hope for a Melvin-free face on TV!  ![]() ![]() Hmm... When he's had it for quite some time and has been exposed to sun > the skin underneath is pale. I think he would need several weeks on the poolside after shaving to even the tan... |

Imagine Dragons thinks they are Rock. Their songs have been all over my HAC station at least. Since Adam has been to their concert maybe he's into the same type of "rock".
