According to my melted ice cream (this time it is Talenti's German Chocolate Cake Gelato) Adam maybe has decided on Interscope, but just hasn't decided which label under Interscope yet. So he's shopping around listening and studying all the artists on Interscope's various labels. (Note: per Vivlite's suggestion, I chose "melted ice cream" as MY food group instead of "mashed potatoes".) |

According to my melted ice cream (this time it is Talenti's German Chocolate Cake Gelato) Adam maybe has decided on Interscope, but just hasn't decided which label under Interscope yet. So he's shopping around listening and studying all the artists on Interscope's various labels.I love this post

The mashed potatoes were a little too starchy for me.  Besides, I was a little ambivalent about Idol anyway. I don't really want him feeding from that trough. Pop alternative is the perfect music for him! My 12 y.o. daughter loves it and I ... don't hate it, lol. ETA: experimenting with the smileys. I have a cheesy Cheshire grin on my laptop, which is what I intended, but it came across as a blech/cheeky tonguie sticking out on my phone. I edited it here and am gonna see if it's now correct. Don't want to insult anyone's gastronomic preferences. I enjoyed reading about the speculation, even if I couldn't allow myself to be swept up in them so as not to crash with disappointment. Love the optimists on this board!  |

Seriously, though, I need to think that Adam is continuing with his career and not picture him alone in his house, trying to figure out ProTools or something. The twitter party seemed a little aimless, tbh. Don't want to think that he's flailing. That's as unrealistic as overinflating his celebrity. I just don't want him to go back to musical theater, even if it's a ripe part on Broadway. I think *he* would think of that as a last resort and as somehow a failure, no matter no impressive I personally think Broadway performers are. Would rather see him continue to gain cred outside the theater world. Not ready to let go of him as a recording artist. |
